Day 1-3
Welcome to Nepal! Before we set off on our big motorcycle tour of Nepal, we’ll be staying in the popular Thamel district, in the heart of Kathmandu. This is the ideal starting point to help you adjust to the initial culture shock and get a first impression of the city. Entrance fees for temples and museums are not included in the tour price (❌) and must be paid on-site if applicable (many are free). Kathmandu also offers the best conditions for stocking up on everything we’ll need for the next 14 days. For example, warm clothing, motorcycle gear, or trekking equipment (jacket, pants, shoes, gloves, etc.). Everything can be purchased (or rented) relatively cheaply on-site, so you don’t have to bring your entire outfit from home.

Chitwan National Park
Day 3-5
On our first leg, we’ll dive right into the thick of things! We’ll cross the mountain range that separates Kathmandu from the southern lowlands and descend more than 1,000 meters into the tropical climate of southern Nepal. Our first stop after Kathmandu will be Chitwan National Park on the border with India. In this unique UNESCO reserve, you can spot not only elephants but also wild rhinos, crocodiles, and—if you’re very lucky—tigers. A half-day safari and the entrance fee to the national park are already included in the tour price (✅ included in the tour price).

Bandipur
Day 5-6
After two days in the hot climate of southern Nepal, our Nepal motorcycle tour takes us up to an altitude of 1,300 meters. Traffic on the route to Bandipur is the biggest challenge, but the scenery gets more beautiful with every passing kilometer. Bandipur is considered Nepal’s living museum. The town has a beautiful historic center that attracts many tourists. Around the town, there are several temples and viewpoints that invite you to take a short hike. The highlight, however, is watching the sunrise from the viewpoint overlooking the town. The valley is shrouded in mist, and the view of the Annapurna range and the world’s seventh-highest mountain is still clear and unobstructed by clouds.

Pokhara
Day 6-8
After spending the night in Bandipur, we have a leisurely drive ahead of us today and arrive in Pokhara in the early afternoon. The city serves as the starting point for trekking tours into the Annapurna range and is bustling with mountaineers, backpackers, outdoor enthusiasts, and other tourists. Yet compared to chaotic Kathmandu, Pokhara offers a much more peaceful and charming atmosphere. In addition to various (beginner-friendly) trekking routes (1–4 days), there’s also the option to take a (multi-day) rafting tour south, go paragliding with an unforgettable panoramic view, zip-line through the air at 120 km/h, or simply ride a motorcycle around the lake and enjoy the scenery.

Kagbeni Kaligandaki Mustang कागबेनी कालीगण्डकी मुस्ताङ
Day 8-10
If you’re ready for a real adventure and have felt confident on the off-road sections so far, the most challenging part of our journey now lies ahead. 🤠 The Lower Mustang Valley in Nepal offers spectacular high-mountain landscapes, remote villages, and deep insights into Tibetan Buddhist culture. The route winds along the Kali Gandaki River on twisting gravel roads through barren valleys and past pastel-colored cliffs. We’ll spend two nights along the route in simple teahouses. The goal is to reach the pilgrimage site of Muktinath at an altitude of 3,800 m. However, you can also choose to ride only part of the route. We will discuss the exact plan once we’re there. Route overview: 📍 Pokhara – Beni ⏱️ ~100 km, 3–4h 🛣️ 80% asphalt - Easy 📍 Beni – Tatopani ⏱️ ~25 km, 1–1.5h 🛣️ 50% gravel - Moderate 📍 Tatopani – Ghasa ⏱️ ~20 km, 1–1.5h 🛣️ 100% off-road - Challenging 📍 Lete – Jomsom ⏱️ ~35 km, 2–3h 🛣️ 80% off-road - Moderate 📍 Jomsom – Muktinath ⏱️ ~25 km, 1–1.5h 🛣️ 60% asphalt - Moderate

Pokhara
Day 10-12
After three days in the high mountains, we head back to civilization. We’ll have a day here to relax and, if we’d like, try out activities like paragliding, rafting, bungee jumping, ziplining, and more. However, this day also serves as a buffer in case we end up spending more time in the Mustang Valley.

Gorkha
Day 12
The stop in Gorkha is optional—it’s only necessary if we want to break up the long drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu and spend just one night in Pokhara. The town is picturesquely nestled in the mountains with phenomenal views and, as the birthplace of the former king, holds historical significance; however, it is much less touristy than Bandipur.

Kathmandu
Day 12-14
Today marks the final and longest leg of our motorcycle tour through Nepal. By now, however, we’ve all gotten used to the traffic and road conditions, so we should make good time. Nevertheless, we won’t arrive in Kathmandu until late afternoon, and we’ll return our beloved bikes in the evening. The next day, there is theoretically still the option to take a trip to the surrounding area, e.g., to a viewpoint toward Mount Everest (❌ not included in the tour price). However, this day also serves as a buffer day—whether planned or unplanned, you never know. :)
