Coworking trip
Hey, I'm Kai! I used to run a restaurant chain in Singapore, but have left to travel the world full-time. I love admiring sunsets, exploring hidden gems, adventures, eating, and some cooking. Traveling has always been in my blood. If you love to travel as much as I do, you got to join my trip! 💛 This trip is designed as a Co-Working Trip, which means YOU will choose when and what to do. Everything I've mentioned here is just my suggestions but we will ultimately discuss and decide together. Key information: We will be spending 4 nights in Singapore (my home), and 2 nights in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In between, we can visit another less-touristy spot in Malaysia on a half-day trip, Johor Bahru. I've visited Malaysia many times and I am certain you will love it. Feel free to pitch in any other places you'd like to visit together! Here's what's included in our trip and price ✅: - 🏡 Accommodation for all 6 nights, including: - ☀️ a FREE 1-night stay in Marina Bay Sands + access to the famous Infinity Rooftop Pool - 🚌 a luxury coach one-way ticket from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur (includes entertainment, food, drinks, and light bites on board) What is NOT included in the trip: - Flight tickets - Daily Transportation (You can estimate about 5-8€ per person, per day.) - Food (You can estimate about 30-40€ per person, per day.)* - Activities/ Entrance Tickets *A little exception on the food: my family founded the Original Singapore Katong Laksa, which is a local heritage dish. So you can expect one of our meals to include this + a few other local dishes, completely on me! My role on this trip 📝: - Plan and organize accommodation, transport, hidden gems, and activities - I will be your friend, listener, entertainer, "mum" and foodie guide! Who I am looking for to join my trip: - 3 to 4 pax, comfortable with sharing bedrooms (I'm open to more people joining if you'd like to bring your +1 friend, family, or partner.) - Open-minded and easy-going! We're all here to have a good time exploring the world. Note: Singapore is a pretty expensive place to live in so in order to keep our expenses low, the accommodation I've chosen does NOT include wifi. However, there are many places in Singapore that make a good spot to work remotely, including beautiful public libraries, nearby local cafes, and more. I will provide you with a list of recommendations for places I often visit to get my work done. Otherwise, you can share my hotspot! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me on my new Instagram: www.instagram.com/solotravelwithkai Love, Kai 💛

Singapore

Day 1-5
Oh, Singapore, my beautiful home. I used to work in the airport and enjoyed listening to the stories of people exploring this tiny little red dot. Singapore has so much diversity and different cultures, all merged together in unity. And what I've learned is a surprise to many, is that our native language is English! So language is not a problem at all. This trip is designed not only to include the more popular tourist attractions (and food) but also lots of local spots and hidden gems! Here are my suggestions only, feel free to pitch in! 💛 - Marina Bay Sands (free 1-night stay, shared room) - Singapore Jewel Changi Airport (where you find the social media famous indoor waterfall. We can explore when you arrive in SG!) - Esplanade and Merlion - Gardens by the Bay - Sentosa Island (this is where the locals call, "Vacation Island" because all the fun is gathered here - Universal Studios Singapore, Adventure Cove Waterpark, iFly Singapore, Luge, Cable Car, Zip-Line, Bungee Jump, etc.) - National Museum of Singapore - Orchard Road and Somerset (the shopping district) - Chinatown - Little India - Clarke Quay (where you find the bars and nightlife) - Haji Lane (hidden gem) - Pulau Ubin (hidden gem) - JooChiat/ Katong for a hint of the old days (hidden gem) - and many more!

Johor Bahru

Day 5
I love this less touristy city in Malaysia (it's actually a popular getaway destination among locals living in Singapore.) Johor Bahru is located only 10 mins away by train (about 8€ for a round-ticket) which makes it perfect for a half-day or full-day trip. I visit this city a lot for late night guilty-supper and massages! You can estimate about 40-50€ for the entire day of exploring and eating in Johor Bahru. I will also bring you to one of my favourite hidden spots to catch the sunset. Let me tell you: this place is BEAUTIFUL. It's empty really, because the residential blocks nearby aren't fully developed yet but there's a few outdoor restaurants and a mini retro-theme park which makes it so unique. I usually rent an e-scooter or bicycle for about 10-15€, ride around and enjoy the breeze while the sun sets.

Kuala Lumpur

Day 5-7
Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia! This is where you find the famous Petronas Twin Towers which by the way, boasts a remarkable view at the top. The towers are mostly used as office spaces with a huge shopping mall below, with a little gift shop where you can write your future self a postcard. This city is also fantastic to visit it's nearby Batu Caves, Genting Highlands (think amusement park sitting on the mountains, strawberry farms on the mountains, etc) and lots of great food options at affordable prices including night markets. We will hop on a luxury coach from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur. It is about 6 hours directly to KL, with an entertainment system, food, coffee/ tea and light bites served on board. I've taken this route a few times and the seats are extremely comfortable. There is WIFI on board as well, but disclaimer: it isn't as strong as I would hope for. However, you can connect to my hotspot for free or purchase your own roaming.
