Day 1-4
Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport on April 24, where we will meet directly at our hotel in Hanoi’s charming Old Quarter. Check-in is after 2 pm, (early check-in upon availability but feel free to store your luggage at the reception in the meanwhile). Spend 3 nights/ 2 days soaking in the city’s rhythm exploring cafés, taste authentic street food or stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake. As the sun sets, we’ll hop on vintage bikes (with easy-rider) for a sunset "Backstreet Tour", gliding through hidden alleys, local markets and the glowing Train Street before our mountain adventure begins. The morning of April 27th (~10 AM), we board the comfy cabin sleeper bus. Expect a ride around 6 - 7 hours until we reach Ha Giang city, the starting point of our tour.

Day 4-5
After arriving from Hanoi, we’ll spend the first night in Ha Giang City in our guesthouse/ hotel. Here we meet our Easy Rider guides, get the trip briefing and prepare for the start of the loop the next morning.

Day 5-6
🌤️ Tour Day 1 – Ha Giang → Heaven Gate → Quan Ba → Yen Minh → Vuong Palace → Dong Van (Itinerary is just an example and might change slightly) Depart around 8 AM from Ha Giang. Ride through Heaven Gate Pass (1,500 m) for panoramic views above the clouds. Admire the Twin Mountains of Quan Ba, stop for lunch in a local restaurant, then visit the historic Vuong Palace, once home to the Hmong King. Arrive in Dong Van around 5 PM and stroll through its old quarter after dinner.

Day 6-7
🌄 Tour Day 2 – Dong Van → Ma Pi Leng Pass → Meo Vac → Bao Lac Ride through the spectacular Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark. Cross the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass – the “King of Vietnam’s mountain roads.” Enjoy photo stops at Happiness Road and Meo Vac, then continue to Bao Lac for your overnight stay.

Ban Gioc Waterfalls
Day 7-8
🏞️ Tour Day 3 – Bao Lac → Me Pia Pass → Trung Khanh → Ban Gioc Early departure following the Song Gam River. Climb the Me Pia Pass, famous for its 14 sharp hairpin bends – also called the “14-story slope.” Continue east toward Ban Gioc Waterfall and arrive around 5 PM to spend the night near this spectacular natural border.

Nationalpark Ba Bể
Day 8-9
💦 Tour Day 4 – Ban Gioc → Cao Bang → Ba Be National Park Start the day exploring Ban Gioc Waterfall, Southeast Asia’s largest and most beautiful cascade. Visit the nearby Nguom Ngao Cave and return via Cao Bang toward Ba Be Lake, arriving by late afternoon. Enjoy a quiet evening at the lakeside homestay.

Day 9
🚤 Tour Day 5 – Ba Be Lake Boat Tour → Ha Giang After breakfast, embark on a boat trip across Ba Be Lake, Vietnam’s largest natural freshwater lake. Visit An Ma Temple and Dau Dang Waterfall, passing through local fishing villages. After lunch at a riverside restaurant, drive to Cao Bang where we will be getting another sleeper bus back to Hanoi. Expect to be back in our hotel in Hanoi at around 7 ~ 8 pm.

Day 9-10
We'll spend one last night in Hanoi, where we're going to visit the famous Water Puppet Show at Thang Long Theatre (incl. audio guide, since performance is in Vietnamese). The next day our driver will pick us up at 10:30 am for the tour to Tam Coc (Ninh Binh) (--> see next trip | Part 2) ℹ️ Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding the visa, flight or airport transfers.
