About me! I am originally from Hong Kong, and have been living in Germany since 2014. I am travelling almost on a weekly basis due to business trip; other than that, I like to make my holiday abroad at least 4 times a year. I hope to meet more like-minded people and travel buddies through JoinMyTrip.

Details about the accommodation: We will be staying in a 2-bedroom apartment, with 4 beds in total. There is a table & wifi for co-working during the week. There is a terrace shared with other guests. It is in the Fatih district and Old City area which is close to historical places, easy access to public transportation, and traditional Turkish restaurants. To make you feel at home. there is a hair dryer, kettle, kitchen, TV, refrigerator, towel, microwave, liquid soap, etc.

Day 1
After co-working during the day, around 5pm, we will be visiting Suleymaniye Mosque from outside, yes, outside only as it is closed at 16:45. If you are arriving the apartment after 16:30, please let me know upfront, we can also adjust the plan of the first day.

The Rüstem Pasha Mosque is an Ottoman mosque located in the Hasırcılar Çarşısı in the Tahtakale neighborhood of the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey, near the Spice Bazaar. For visiting mosques, please bring a headscarf with you and wear a knee-length skirt/ short.

Egyptian Bazaar

Day 1
This 17th-century market is known as the Egyptian Bazaar / Spice Bazaar, with spice, food & textile shops. It is one of the largest bazaars in the city and most famous covered shopping complex after the Grand Bazaar.

Galata Bridge

Day 1-2
Bustling bridge across the Golden Horn with pedestrian walkways & street vendors, with cafes below. There are many seafood restaurants in this area, where we will have our first get-to-know-each-other dinner in one of the best seafood restaurants.

Day 2-3
Around 18:30, we will enjoy the beautiful Istanbul sunset on a rooftop and try more than 10 different Turkish food in a historic 130 years old local restaurant. What is included? - Turkish kebabs with vegetarian tapas plus dessert - Turkish coffee :)

Day 3-4
At 18:00, we will head to this authentic spa and treat ourselves with a Turkish Hamam (Bath) after work. After that we will enjoy dinner at a seafood resturant. Bosphorus Bridge

Day 4
TGIF! at 17:00, we will cruise the scenic Bosphorus and its beautiful sites. We will see palaces, bridges on a yacht. There is also music on board :) What is included? - 2-hour yacht cruise - 2 glasses of wine and snacks

Sultanahmet Square

Day 4-5
On Saturday, we begin our walking tour on the European side at 09:00. Please wear comfortable shoes as it is gonna be a long walk :) Sultanahmet Square or the Hippodrome of Constantinople was previously a circus that was the sporting and social centre of Constantinople, capital of the Byzantine Empire. The word hippodrome comes from the Greek hippos, horse, and dromos, path or way.

Arasta Bazaar is a traditional, buzzy market street lined with small stores selling spices, pottery, rugs & souvenirs. It's a curated set of about 80 shops and one of the historical bazaars in Istanbul.

It is an Ottoman architectural beauty with its indoor giant columns, stain glasses, Iznik tiles and beautiful classic dome patterns. For visiting mosques, please bring a headscarf with you and wear a knee-length skirt/ short.

Day 5
The Basilica Cistern, or Cisterna Basilica, is the largest of several hundred ancient cisterns that lie beneath the city of Istanbul, Turkey. Entrance fee is not included in our tour price, it is around 11 EUR.

Grand Bazaar

Day 5
The Grand Bazaar in Istanbul is one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, with 61 covered streets and over 4,000 shops on a total area of 30,700 m². Before heading to the Asian side, we will have some quick bites (more food to come on the other side of the continent :)). Ferry to the Asian Side is included.

To begin our walking tour on the Asian side, we will charge our body battery with some local food. Kuzguncuk

Day 5
Kuzguncuk is a colourful and charming neighbourhood in the Üsküdar district. The neighborhood is centered on a valley opening to the Bosphorus and is somewhat isolated from the main part of the city, being surrounded by nature preserves, cemeteries, and a military installation. The walking tour will end around 7pm.
