Come with us on a mystical journey into the realm of the Incas. We discover the wonder worlds of Peru. The ancient Inca capital of Cusco, the mystical Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, the highest navigable lake in the world, Lake Titicaca, the Nazca shards, which can only be admired in their full size from the air, and much more... We will meet many friendly people and immerse ourselves in their lives high up in the Andes or far out on the island of Amantaní in Lake Titicaca. The active part will not be neglected either: hiking, sandboarding, desert buggy driving, white water rafting and relaxing in hot thermal springs are just some of the possibilities to enjoy the vacation optimally - just as it suits you. IMPORTANT NOTE: It is important to me that you get to know the culture and people of Peru, so this is NOT a party trip! It is also not really a backbacker trip. We allow ourselves a little more luxury. TO TRAVELMASTER FEE: My TravelMaster fee is quite high with 300 EUR. This is explained quite quickly. I have been everywhere we travel and know my way around. In addition, I speak good Spanish and have already worked out a small program for each stop with the highlights - so you get a top guide on the spot. Furthermore, I will donate a part of the money to a children's home that I have been visiting and supporting for years. We will also use this money to pay for a dinner at the children's home, as well as donate fruit and school supplies to a school in Lake Titicaca. THE COSTS: As usual with group trips, the costs break down as follows. Besides the transatlantic flights (about 900 - 1,200 EUR), your expenses for transportation, accommodations, excursions, entrance fees and food should not exceed 2,000 EUR. What you want to buy as souvenirs, I don't know of course ;) So far, I've always spent significantly less on my Peru trips... This makes the trip significantly cheaper than any conventional group trip of this length in Peru - if you have any questions about the costs, I'm happy to answer them.
We will mostly stay in simple, clean, typical accommodation, guesthouses or hotels. These correspond approximately to the German 2-star level. On the island of Amantaní we will stay with a local family.

After a long overland flight you will arrive in Lima, the capital of Peru. Here I will be waiting for you at the airport and together we will drive to the hotel. Depending on whether the plane lands in Lima during the day or late in the evening, we will stroll a bit through the quiet coastal district of Miraflores and end the day with dinner or fall tired into bed after the exhausting transatlantic flight. Cusco
Day 2-3
In the early morning we drive to the airport. The national scheduled flight brings us over the Andes to Cuzco at 3,400m. My recommendation upon arrival is to take it easy and get used to the altitude. A late, light breakfast at the hotel, overlooking the city, or a short walk will help acclimatization. A first day in the former capital of the Inca Empire that will leave you wanting more! Overnight stay in Cusco.

Urubamba
Day 3-4
Today's program is varied. We leave Cuzco for Valle Sagrado de los Incas, where our first stop is in Chinchero. This is a traditional traditional Andean village with terraces and ruins and a small but impressive colonial church. Afterwards we will get to know the Inca salt pans in Maras as well as the agricultural experimental center, the huge funnels of Moray. We will have dinner at a children's home in Urubamba. Overnight stay in Cusco.

Pisac
Day 4-5
Again we leave Cuzco and again we go to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. At dawn we drive to the terraces of Pisac to be there before the tourists. A short hike takes us first to the upper part of the complex, where we can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the place at such an early hour. After a hike down into the valley, there will be time to visit the largest handicraft market in Peru. In the afternoon we will visit Awana Kancha, a small zoo where we will learn about the differences between llamas and alpacas. Overnight stay in Cusco.

Ollantaytambo
Day 5-6
And once again we go to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This time to the other end to visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo. One of the last retreats of the Incas before the Spaniards. A good stamina is needed to climb the steep steps. We will be rewarded with a fantastic view over the town and the valley. Overnight stay in Cusco.

Aguas Calientes
Day 6-8
For now, we leave Cuzco and travel by bus past snow-capped mountain peaks, down high mountain passes towards the rainforest. Our destination is an power station on the Urubamba River. From there we walk about 3 hours with light luggage through the rainforest, always along the railroad tracks to Aguas Calientes, the starting point for our day at Machu Picchu. Overnight stay in Aguas Calientes. The second day is completely dedicated to the mysterious cloud city of Machu Picchu. We leave Aguas Calientes early and take the first bus to the ruins. This is the only way we can enjoy the play of light and shadow at the beginning of the day in absolute peace. Perhaps a flock of green little parrots will fly overhead or a llama will graze next to us. We have the whole day to conquer the wonder of the world for ourselves! Overnight stay in Aguas Calientes.

Cusco
Day 8-10
In the morning we take the Andean train from Aguas Calientes back to the train station in Ollantaytambo. We leave the Sacred Valley of the Incas and return to Cuzco. For the We will spend the night in a children's home. The next day is free. Today we will spend an unforgettable day in the ancient Inca capital. You are free to spend the morning as you wish, according to your mood. A variety of museums invites you to explore and learn, massages relieve tension, coffee from organic cultivation from the virgin forests of the region is best drunk with a view of the Plaza de Armas and shopping opportunities are available for every budget! We meet again for a small lunch snack. Afterwards we visit the impressive ruins of Qenqo and Sacsayhuaman outside Cuzco and hike back to the city. Day 10-13
Today we drive about 8 hours from Cuzco by bus over the Altiplano to Puno. The highest pass to overcome is called La Raya and lies at 4,300m. We drive to the port, where the boat is already waiting for us. The island of Amantaní is the On the way we have the opportunity to visit the floating islands of the Uros descendants. Day 13-14
Today we will travel by minibus from Puno to Chivay. The village is located at the entrance to the Colca Canyon, famous for its spectacular scenery. On the way we will cross nature reserves where we will pass beautiful mountain lakes and admire llamas, alpacas, vicuñas and flamingos. With a little luck we will also see the shy vizcachas. We cross the highest point of the trip at 4.910m, here you can take pictures of the snow covered peaks of the volcanoes if the weather is good! Arequipa
Day 14-16
Early departure to admire the canyon from above without tourists in the morning. Afterwards we drive to the viewpoint "Cruz del Condor", where we hopefully can observe many condors. Before we head back to Arequipa, we will make two stops at places of photographic interest. Overnight stay in simple, clean and typical accommodation in Arequipa. After a good night's sleep we will get to know the beautiful colonial city. In the In the morning we will visit the Santa Catalina Monastery. It is an integral part of Arequipa's history and transports every visitor to a time when "God and the Kingdom of Heaven" meant honor and duty. After a lunch snack, there is the possibility of exploring Arequipa on your own, resting and reading in the hotel's garden, visiting the Museum of the Mummy Juanita, or taking a rafting trip on the Rio Chili. Nazca
Day 16-17
The morning is free in Arequipa. We can visit the Alpaca Weavers Center or see the mummy of Juanita. Around noon we will be taken to the bus station. Today we will cover the longest distance of the trip. For a little more than 9 hours the Panamericana will be ours and we will cover large parts along the Pacific Ocean. The environment changes, we drive into the middle of the foothills of one of the driest deserts in the world, the Atacama. Only where water springs from the mountains, there are fertile river valleys with tropical fruits and even rice cultivation! We reach our destination Nazca shortly before midnight. Huacachina
Day 17-19
If you want, you can get on a small plane today and fly over the famous Nazca desert drawings. Spider, monkey, hummingbird, whale and others can be seen only from above. These lines are among the great mysteries of mankind! Afterwards the trip goes north, We stop at the lookout tower and other drawings in Palpa. Today we go early to the harbor to take the speedboat at 8 o'clock to the Islas Ballestas to the sea. Day 21-22
Full program in the capital: We visit the main square Plaza de Armas with cathedral, visit the famous San Francisco Monastery with its catacombs, climb the adobe pyramid Huaca Pucllana and/or marvel at the unique pieces in the Gold Museum! The contrast to the hectic city center is a walk in the artists' quarter Barranco, where we find a cozy restaurant in the evening. Overnight in simple, clean and typical Lima accommodation. The trip is coming to an end. We spend a few last hours in Lima. Buy maybe a few souvenirs for the loved ones at home or stroll along the Pacific coast again. Then it is time to say goodbye. With hopefully many unforgettable impressions and a tear in our eye we drive to the airport to catch the plane home on time.
