————-ABOUT ME 👩🏻✈️🩺————— I’m a 25-year-old traveler and young doctor with a deep passion for discovering the world. This journey will be truly unforgettable — an adventure to experience the essence of South America in all its raw beauty and diversity. I’ve spent months studying, planning, and dreaming about every stop along the way, and I know it will be one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. 🌍✈️💫
———-ACCOMODATION 🏠 ———— Throughout the trip, accommodation will be simple and authentic, reflecting the local atmosphere of each destination. It will vary according to location — from jungle lodges during the Amazon tour to guesthouses in cities and coastal areas. During the cargo boat journey from Manaus to Belém, you’ll sleep in a hammock on deck, sharing the experience with locals and travelers as the vessel slowly navigates the Amazon River. ⚠️ Rooms will be shared with the other mates of Join my trip. To have a personal room there will be additional costs —HEALTH AND VACCINATIONS TIPS⚕️💉— For trips to the Amazon region, it’s a good idea to check in with a travel doctor before you go. Routine vaccines should be up to date, and additional ones like yellow fever, hepatitis A, typhoid, and possibly hepatitis B or rabies are often recommended. There’s no vaccine for malaria, but preventive medication (antimalarial prophylaxis) is recommended in some parts of the Amazon. Bring good mosquito repellent and use long sleeves and bed nets whenever possible. As always, be mindful of food and water hygiene and follow your doctor’s advice for any preventive medication. As a medical doctor, I’ll have my own compact emergency kit with essential medications and first-aid supplies for remote settings.
