Details about this trip
Hi y'all! Who is up for some amazing live music, accompanied by delicious food and wine after work? Looking to share an apartment with 5 more people in the beautiful city centre of Lisbon! The idea is to explore the beautiful Portuguese capital after work, with stops in Sintra, the beaches of Tróia and Caxias, the picturesque fishing village of Cascais and the northern town of Porto! About me: My name is Federico and I'm a 25 year old ProTripLeader from Italy. This would be my first time in Portugal and I thought it would be awesome to explore a country I've never been to before with like-minded people who want to share the good things in life! In addition to English and Italian I also speak Spanish, but the language barrier won't be a problem given the Portuguese people's fluency in English. About the costs: Accommodation and trip leader fee included, but I'm willing to share the costs of a car in case we're in the mood of going a roadtrip instead of taking the train! Are you up for this Portuguese adventure? Contact me and tell me a bit about yourself, your work and what you would most like to see while in Portugal!

Alfama

Day 1-21
Squeezed between the Castle of São Jorge and the Tagus River, the Alfama district preserves the traditional soul of Lisbon. It is a picturesque neighbourhood that develops vertically, with an upper and lower part and a cascade of houses perched on its sloping alleys, sometimes so close to each other that the roofs seem to touch each other.

Cascais

Day 21
Cascais a lovely seaside resort: perfect for a day trip from Lisbon in search of sun and sea. The bustling fish market, known as Lota, is a testament to the times when Cascais was essentially a fishing village. The beaches around the town are perfect for surfing too!

Bairro Alto

Day 21
Famous as the nightlife area of Lisbon, Bairro Alto is actually a neighbourhood rich in history, originally inhabited by the Lisbon aristocracy, which after the earthquake transformed into a popular area with numerous artisan shops, shops and newspaper offices. Its past mixed with noble elegance and popular liveliness has created a fertile ground for the creative effervescence that in recent decades has given rise to numerous art galleries, boutiques, artists' workshops and design shops.

Porto

Day 21
Porto is a splendid city in the north of Portugal: also called “the capital of the North”, in contrast to the more central Lisbon, it partly inherits some of its distinctive features. Porto is a real wonder for the eyes, a city able to conquer from the first moment, thanks to its ups and downs, its decadent houses but with a magical atmosphere and above all thanks to the Ribeira district, from which you can admire a crazy panorama and the boats that pass under the Dom Luis I Bridge.

Sintra

Day 21
Just 30 km from Lisbon, Sintra seems to belong to another dimension. This small town of aristocratic beauty enchants thousands of visitors every year who come to admire its rich artistic and cultural heritage. Breathtaking views overlooking the ocean, a pink sky, lush forests await you in one of the most romantic cities in the world.
