PREFACE: While I have gathered and packed a ton of popular activities and sights into this trip, if there is something else you would like to do in Japan then don’t be shy to! Minus the pre-booked activities (indicated with a *) this itinerary is up for personalization. Use your free time how you would like to; If you want to miss some temples to entertain another experience on your own then feel free! You’re more than welcome to come and go with the group as you please; don’t be shy to! Emily will help you to rearrange and fit in any activities to your personal schedule that you see fit. IMPORTANT! "Day 1" of your trip will be Saturday May 9th boarding your overnight flight. Arrival to Japan will be Sunday May 10th (begin this itinerary) DAY 1 SUMMARY: Arrive to Tokyo, check in to accommodation *Welcome dinner in one of Tokyo’s tourist districts Rooftop bar for city views before retiring for the night DAY 1 DETAILS: Arrive to the Tokyo Airport and meet Emily at the accommodation downtown (exact accommodation will be specified closer to the date since it will depend on numbers; expect a 4-star hotel, free breakfast, double/triple occupancy, and to be within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and tourist hotspots). Get settled in and hang out before the rest of the group arrives. Then join the group in an authentic Japanese dinner in one of Tokyo’s famous tourist districts, Shibuya. Check out the Shibuya area further while we’re there. One of the many things Shibuya has to offer is the Pokemon Center; I know a handful of you are beyond excited for this! If you’re not too tired from your day of travel, wrap up the night at a rooftop bar for your first real views of the busy city and neon lights before heading back to the hotel. Today’s inclusions: Accommodation (all 3 nights in Tokyo), welcome dinner Not included: Transportation from airport, drinks DAY 2 SUMMARY: Enjoy breakfast at Tsukiji Jogari Market before hitting the following stops: Sensoji Temple Kaminarimon Gate Nakamise Street Ueno Park Akihabara District Back to hotel/ dinner wherever you see fit Grab some cocktails one of Tokyo’s famous bar districts Shinjuku Golden Gai and hit some clubs after! DAY 2 DETAILS: Rise and shine! Let’s head to Tsukiji Jogai Market for some fresh street food snacks before we begin our tourist-y day. We’ll start at Sensoji Temple, Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist Temple. Take your time to enjoy the temple, as well as the iconic-red Kaminarimon Gate and Nakamise shopping street for some authentic street food, traditional crafts, and lots of souvenirs! After your shopping fix is healed, head over to the Ueno Park, Tokyo’s Central Park if you will, for some fresh air, beautiful walks, Benten Temple, and swan paddle boats. Then we will catch the metro to the Akihabara District for some more iconic sightseeing. Akihabara will include many mega-stores with old school arcade games, tons of comic and anime figures, technology. Enjoy some downtime and a bite to eat before we head to the area Shinjuku Golden Gai to experience the famous tiny bars along the alley ways (bars that only fit 5-10 people). If you’re feeling ready to shake some a** then LET’S HIT THE CLUB BABY! Clubs we might check out: Ce La Vi Tokyo, Baia, Atom Shinjuku, Warp Shinjuku. Today’s inclusions: All sightseeing stops (free admission) Not included: Metro rides, souvenirs, food, drinks DAY 3 SUMMARY: Check out some more parts of this bustling city: Shinjuku Gyoen Garden Omoide Yokocho *Sushi making class! Yum! Meji Shrine Takeshita Street Enjoy another activity before we leave Tokyo: Go Kart adventure through the streets of Tokyo, teamLab Museum, spa night, Tokyo Tower DAY 3 DETAILS: Depending on how your night went, either take some time to sleep in (since you probably went to sleep at 5:00am) or head to Shinjuku Gyoen Garden and Omoide Yokocho (narrow street with over 60 yakitori restaurants that only fit 6-10 people) for some fresh air and some authentic food! Meet with the group for a sushi lunch- that we get to make! Afterwards, we’ll head to Meji Shrine to pray off our sins from the night before. Right after, we head over to Harajuku for the bustling Takeshita Street for lots of shopping, snacks, and iconic Japanese fashion. Take a look at the area online prior to get an idea of what shops you might want to check out! Are you a Mario Kart fan? Optional activities tonight include Go Karting through the Tokyo streets, an immersive art experience at teamLab, visiting the Tokyo Tower, a spa night, or simply just sleeping off all of this adventure; totally up to you! Go Karting might require international license; can obtain from AAA before trip departure. Day 4-6
DAY 4 SUMMARY: Bullet train to Osaka, check into accommodation Tourist time: Kuromon Market Namba Neighborhood Hozenji Yokocho Tombori River Cruise Shinsekai Neighborhood DAY 4 DETAILS: Another day another slay! Let’s head to Osaka via Bullet Train. Once we arrive, we’ll quickly check-in to the accommodation (exact accommodation will be specified closer to the date since it will depend on numbers; expect a 4-star hotel, free breakfast, double/triple occupancy, and to be within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and tourist hotspots) and then head out to the iconic fish market, Kuromon Market, for some quick bites. We’ll have just enough time to check out the neighborhood Namba, famous for being one of Osaka’s biggest city centers, billboards, shopping, and entertainment (maybe check out Round1 Stadium for 5 levels of activities). For a more traditional shopping district, we can head right down the street to the alleyway Hozenji Yokocho and even pop in to see the famous moss-covered statue in Hozenji Temple in order to wish ourselves good fortune. Back downtown, we will head out on the Tombori River Cruise (maybe a Jazz river cruise if we’re feeling crazy). The light of the day slowly fading gives us the perfect opportunity to see the neon lights in Shinsekai before heading back to the accommodation for the night. Today’s inclusions: Bullet train, accommodation (all 3 nights in Osaka), Osaka Amazing Pass (includes subways, busses, and private railways, entrance to a ton of landmarks, Tombori River Cruise, and lots of discounts on shops and restaurants around Osaka). Not included: Souvenirs, food, drinks DAY 5 SUMMARY: Quick tourist activities in the morning: Osaka Castle Osaka Tennoji Zoo Other options offered via Osaka Amazing Pass *Front row seats at a Sumo Wrestling Show (Hot Pot dinner included) Dotonbori for some neon lights and drinks? Osaka Cocktail Library! & Out if you wanna! DAY 5 DETAILS: Check out some more amazing stops if you’re feeling touristy! Maybe the Osaka Castle or the Zoo. The Osaka Amazing Pass includes entrances to a lot more spots, take advantage of it while you can! Some of these sights include Umeda Sky Building, HEP5 Ferris Wheel, Gozabune Boat, Tsutenkaku Observatory, Tower Slider, and more! Make sure to explore, eat lunch, maybe enjoy some time at the spa before we get silly at the Sumo Wrestling show! VIP seating and included Hot Pot? Hell yes. Once that wraps up, we can keep the silly vibes going and head to the bustling nightlife district Dotonbori for some iconic views of the neon billboards, delicious street food snacks, and some delicious drinks. Day 6
DAY 6 SUMMARY: Stay in Osaka if there’s more for you to see OR Head to Kyoto via train to do some exploring there! DAY 6 DETAILS: If you need to see more of Osaka today, feel free to roam around and do whatever your heart desires. If you’re ready for another adventurous day, let’s head to Kyoto! Kyoto is a beautiful, culturally rich city that is only a short train ride away from Osaka! Whether you’re looking for a hiking trip, a tea ceremony, more site seeing, or just a cool fun vibe, Kyoto has so much to offer! Emily can help you book trains, experiences, or whatever else you would want to see/do. Just ask! Ideas of what your day in Kyoto could include: Fushimi Inari Shrine- could entail an hour hike to the summit or just some time wandering the red tori gates, going to a matcha bar, Nishiki Market- Kyoto street food and souvenir shopping, Rokujuan Tea House- 100 year old tea house and garden, attend a Kimono and Tea Ceremony, Sannenzaka- area filled with traditional shops. After the day has finished, enjoy your last night in Osaka before we head back to Tokyo in the AM. Not included: Food, drinks, activities

DAY 6 SUMMARY: Stay in Osaka if there’s more for you to see OR Head to Kyoto via train to do some exploring there! Day 7-8
DAY 7 SUMMARY: Bullet train back to Tokyo, check into accommodation Finish up exploring *Last dinner! DAY 7 DETAILS: Happy last official full day of the trip! You made it! After a train ride back to Tokyo, we’ll have tons of time to galavant around before dinner. I suggest finishing up souvenir shopping and getting to any last minute activities that you wanted to do. I would suggest a chopstick making class where you join a Sensei as they teach you the art of traditional Japanese wood-work in the form of take-home chopsticks or a spa day at one of Tokyo’s premier and affordable spas! Ever heard of a Japanese head spa? Look it up right now if not. Later in the evening, join the group for our final dinner as we recap our highs and lows of the week. It’s been fun! Today’s inclusions: Bullet train, accommodation in Tokyo, dinner Not included: lunch DAY 8: Board your flight home and cry that the trip is over
