Guided trip
Hey there! My name is Cedric, from Belgium, I have explored quite some countries in the world already and feel ready to share with you my next adventure! This trip will be a bit special because we will have a group of travellers for the complete trip (5 days), but it is also open to local people or remote workers to join us for the day activities, or even dinners. So you will be meeting new people during this trip. If you are living or working in Porto and want to take a day off to join us, feel welcome! A little bit about myself first: I love to explore nature when I travel, my favourite are the mountains. It can be by ski, hiking or with a bike. I also enjoy water a lot by swimming, kayak, sailing, snorkelling, or even kitesurfing. I enjoy outdoor sports as you might understand already. But I also like to explore cities, party and eat well. For me a nice balance is important during traveling, between meeting new people, being active exploring, and then of course enjoying and relaxing. I like to feel like a local and explore non-touristic points by going off the beaten track. If you are interested to join this kind of travel, keep on reading :) Our trip will include the following tours with all equipment included: - Day activity tour in Porto by electric mountain bike - 4 hours - Day activity tour in Guimaraes by mountain bike - 6 hours - Day activity tour in Serra do Porto by hiking - 5 hours - Day activity tour beach hopping in Porto-Gaia by bike - 5 hours - Accommodation in a private room in Porto for 4 nights Do you have a question? 5/5
I thoroughly enjoyed the trip organized by Cedric, he was very flexible and easy-going. Everything was thoroughly planned out, from biking to hiking, including picking the right time to do all these outdoor activities. We had several days of amazing weather. It was safe and fun. He knew Porto and surrounding areas very well and he recommended several nice places and restaurants to visit which I did after the trip. I would definitely recommend joining his trips in future.

Trip Itinerary
1

Porto

Day 1-2
We will visit my favourite Porto where I live since about 3 years. As Porto is very hilly we will use electric mountain bikes which is the coolest way to get around quickly. I have been a tour guide in Porto for a couple months so I know some great insider spots and routes. We will see the beautiful scenery, have the opportunity to taste some port wine and also check the night scene with the famous two street full of bars.
2

Guimaraes

Day 2
We will take the train from Porto to Guimaraes and bring with us our mountain bikes! Yes, because there is nothing cooler than biking around to explore a city. Also, Guimaraes has a unique lift from the center to the peak at 500m high, which accepts bikes so you can ride down the hills and go back up quickly and without effort.
3

Porto

Day 2-3
We come back every night to sleep in the capital of the north. Accommodation is in private rooms in the center of the city.
4

Valongo

Day 3
This is the "Serra do Porto" or the mountains of Porto. Not very high in altitude but quite steep, former mining area and is nowadays used for tree harvesting for the paper industry. We'll depart from Porto by local train and go hiking from there. Picnic stop in the middle where everyone can bring and share something.
5

Porto

Day 3-4
We come back every night to sleep in the capital of the north. We can decide to cook and have dinner together at the accommodation or go out in the city.
6

Senhor da Pedra beach

Day 4
We will use bikes from Porto and go visit this special beach with a beautiful church surrounded only by sand and sometimes completely in the water during high tide! A beautiful scenery! On the way there are many other nice wild beaches with big beautiful rock formations. The sea can be rough during winter.
7

Porto

Day 4-5
We come back every night to sleep in the capital of the north. Porto has something special. The cobbled streets, the charming castles, the old houses on the hills along the Douro River. This means the city looks like something out of a renaissance story.
