Day 1-5
Day 1: Arrival From the airport in Bishkek you will be taken by cab to the south coast of Issyk-Kul. Here we will stay for the next 5 days in a yurt camp close to the beach. Perfect to relax after the arrival. Day 2: Fairy Tale Around 6pm we enter a fairy tale forest of rocks - the Fairytale Cannyon. At this time of day, the sun is at a perfect angle to reveal the "inhabitants" of this place. Various animals and mythical creatures emerge from the rock relief. This place seems really magical and is probably not called "Fairy Tale" for nothing. I'm curious to see who we discover here. Day 3: Tamga Gorge Scattered on the vastness of the Kyrgyz mountains you can find big stones with Buddhist inscriptions on them. In the mountain gorge Tamga there are three of them. We will search for them. Of course, here the way is the goal - because the hike through this green picturesque mountain gorge is worth every step. Day 4: Beach Before we leave this wonderful yurt camp and move on, we treat ourselves to a day of rest and relaxation on the beach. Here we have a clean, almost deserted sandy beach and crystal clear water. If you wish, you can spend today in a different way, for example, exploring the place on your own or retiring to a shady place in the yurt camp with a book. A horseback ride along the coast is also possible here.

Karakol
Day 5-8
Day 5: Chon-Kyzyl-Suu We load our belongings into the car and head north - to the city of Karakol. But the real destination today is the mountain gorge Chon-Kyzyl-Suu. This picturesque mountain gorge owes its name, which means "Great Red Water", to the river, which got its reddish color by washing out the red sandstone. In contrast, we find emerald green coniferous forests here. We walk here across lush green meadows, colorful vast carpets of flowers and through forests along a river. Here we have picnic and then relax in hot springs. Day 6: Karkyra Karkyra is one of those insider tips you get from the local people. On our route we are in a place where the famous conqueror of the XV century Timur left his mark. During one of the conquering campaigns he ordered his warriors to take a stone and put it on a pile. After the bloody conquest, everyone should remove one stone from this pile. In this way Timur counted his army losses. One of these piles of stones is still piled up in the landscape of this place. Otherwise, our route passes through places with breathtaking views over the mountains. Day 7: Karakol Before continuing towards the north coast of Issyk-Kul, we will mingle with the people at the local bazaar of Karakol. Bazaars have a long tradition in Kyrgyzstan since the era of the Silk Road. Of course we do not miss this. Here we can buy cheap souvenirs, fruit and whatever else our heart desires and, if we wish, try local delicacies.

Cholpon Ata
Day 8-12
Day 8: Beach Now we are on the north coast of Issyk-Kul. Here the world already looks a bit different, because this is where the locals spend their summer vacations. We stay in a typical vacation resort with post-Soviet flair in small cottages surrounded by apple and conifer trees. We prefer to spend the day on my secret beach, which belongs to the abandoned neighboring resort and to which a secret path leads. If you don't need much recreation, you can explore the nearby town of Cholpon-Ata. Day 9: Grigoriev Mountain Gorge Grigoriev Mountain Gorge is one of the most picturesque mountain gorges I have seen in Kyrgyzstan. It keeps transforming scenically the further you drive in. At the end of our drive, we take a hike to a lake that is very idyllic in the landscape here. Another special feature of this trip is the possibility to return home via another mountain gorge - Semionov Mountain Gorge, which again offers a completely different scenery. Day 10: Konorchek Crossing a very narrow mountain gorge, which can be passed only on foot, we reach the Konorchek canyons. Wind and water have been sculpting this ancient "ruined city" with its "castles", "towers" and "skyscrapers" out of red sandstone for millions of years. The red color of the rock gives this place an almost extraterrestrial touch - it could be Mars. Day 11: Rest day We spend the last day relaxing before heading back home tomorrow. The beach is at our disposal for this purpose, but we can also go to the nearby town of Cholpon-Ata and visit the cultural center "Rukh Ordo" there. Maybe there are some other things you would like to do, which we can integrate into today's day. Day 12: Departure Today we have to say goodbye. We will take a cab back to the airport in Bishkek. I am sure that this trip will be unforgettable for all of us and you will tell your loved ones back home many nice things about Kyrgyzstan. And maybe we will see each other again.
