Guided trip
Ready for an unforgettable journey of a lifetime, filled with laughter, making new friends, and savoring delicious food? Together, we will kick off our adventure in Tokyo 🗼for an exciting 3-night stay before hopping on the Shinkansen (bullet train 🚄) to beautiful Kyoto. We'll immerse ourselves in Kyoto👘 for 2 nights, soaking up the culture and beauty, then continue our journey with 3 more nights in vibrant Osaka 🍱. Finally, we'll conclude our trip with one last unforgettable night in Tokyo. Japan boasts an endless array of mesmerizing sights and engaging activities. Some of these gems, like Disneyland🎢 and TeamLabs📷 Tokyo, require advance booking and are therefore included in the fee. Plus, there will be ample free time for spontaneous exploration🗺️. I've mapped out an itinerary highlighting all the places I'm eager to explore, but I anticipate a good portion of my time will be spent wondering into things that catch my eye.

🙋 About me: Me? I'm Talia, 22 years old and born in Aotearoa New Zealand. Exploring new and exciting things is my passion, and you can usually find me, in the nearest coffee shop, frantically googling all the places I want to go for my future trips. This will be my first visit to Japan and I cannot wait to share the experience with you! 👀 What am I looking for in a TripMate? Ideally, you would be between the ages of 20 and 35. You will be capable of walking long distances, Japan includes A LOT of walking. Ultimately this is a holiday, so while there will be booked activities and travel times, most of this trip will be spent exploring without structure and taking each day as it comes.

🏨 Accommodation: During our journey, we'll be sharing accommodations with fellow Tripmates, with a maximum of 2 people per room. With the final night hosted at a capsule hotel. In a capsule hotel, the beds are private, but the bathrooms are shared. Most accomodation in Japan is very communal. 🚄 Transport: Japan's Rail pass has increased its fees as of October 2023. Using the calculator on the website has shown that its fees are not worth it for this specific trip. Instead, we will talk about options on our call and in person. Transport within cities can be used with a Welcome Suica card for foreigners. Shinkansen (Bullet trains) between cities have been included in the fee. 📄 Planning and Communication: I'll handle all the planning and booking aspects that require advance arrangements. Notably, attractions like Disneyland Tokyo and teamLabs are highly popular and tend to book out fast, if this is the case we will discuss further alternatives during our call. 📳 WhatsApp Group Chat: I'll set up a WhatsApp group chat before our trip to facilitate trip-related discussions such as questions, do's and don'ts, tips, and more. It's also an excellent platform for you to familiarize yourself with your fellow TripMates. 👥 Group Size: Our group will consist of 1-4 people, striking a balance between being intimate yet lively. 💹 Buffer: Please be aware that I have added a small buffer in case things end up being a little more expensive. TRIPMATES: This Trip is confirmed to go ahead. I can't wait to go on this adventure together! See you in Tokyo!

I’m very frustrated with join my trip and Talia. I found out that they use my money not for my expenses of the trip. My question for transparency on how the money was used is still not answered as she just stoped responding to me. As well as her cancelling the trip in the middle bc of open questions about the money. And I did not get my share for the rest op the trip back. I’m trying to get ahold of the Join my trip team but the response I got from them is more then not neutral. I would NOT recommend doing this trip except you want to pay for some else’s vacation.

Trip Itinerary
1

Tokyo

Day 1-4
We will start in Tokyo, Japan's capital. We will meet in the city as Tokyo has two airports. Day 1 will be a rest day for you to take at your own pace once you have arrived and met everyone, this way you can get your bearings and explore the surrounding area. Day 2-3 will include the booked activities of Disneyland and teamLabs. We can spend the nights exploring famous areas if we so wish. Day 4 we will travel to Kyoto in the morning. This journey will take over 2 hours on Shinkansen (Bullet Train).
2

Kyoto

Day 4-6
Kyoto, often referred to as the "City of a Thousand Temples," is a historic and culturally rich city located in the Kansai region of Japan. It's renowned for its well-preserved traditional architecture, ancient temples, beautiful gardens, traditional tea houses, and colorful shrines. In other words there is plenty to see and do here. We can explore as a group or you can wander off to explore on your own. Just see how you feel on the day! Because we should arrive in the morning, we should have the rest of the day to explore whatever we see fit. Ideally I would like to explore the Fushimi Inari Shrine (The 10,000 gates) early the next morning in order to beat the crowds. However there is no pressure to join me. I'd also like to explore the Gion district at night and rent a Kimono. We will spend 2 nights here.
3

Osaka

Day 6-9
Osaka is a city of contrasts, blending the old and the new, the historic and the contemporary, creating a unique and vibrant urban experience for visitors. The city's warm and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with its delicious food and diverse entertainment options, make it a must-visit destination in Japan. Two activities that I would like to do include the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan and the Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel. You can join me if you wish to since I realize heights aren't for everyone. We will spend 3 nights here before heading back to Tokyo.
4

Tokyo

Day 9-10
On day 9 of our trip we will return to Tokyo by Shinkansen (Bullet Train). This journey will take approximately 3 hours 15 minutes. This should leave us with an afternoon and evening to enjoy before we spend our final night in a capsule hotel. Then hopefully everyone returns home with fond memories, new friends, and 1001 photos that will last a lifetime.
