Are you ready for an exploring trip to Madeira? This beautiful island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean offers stunning natural landscapes, perfect for nature and hiking enthusiasts. Welcome to our exciting packed trip to Madeira, where you'll experience the best of this beautiful island's natural and cultural attractions. This trip includes a trip to the capital city, experiencing unique tastes of Madeira, a dolphin & whale watching tour, and most importantly variety of hiking trips, including one of the best hiking routes on the island. One along the Levada Nova, one amazing coastal hike in the east of the island and visit at PR1 Pico do Ariero, which takes you to an amazing mountain region to the highest mountains of Madeira. Besides a lot of hikes in the nature we'll also visit the capital city of Funchal, where you'll have the chance to explore its vibrant markets, picturesque streets, and vibrant parks and coast. We will also visit very traditional restaurant, where you get to experience the unique taste and tradition of preparing food in Madeira. This trip is perfect for adventure-seekers who want to experience the best of Madeira's natural beauty while enjoying some exciting outdoor activities So, pack your bags and get ready for an unforgettable journey!

Details about the accommodation: We will share a spacious 3-bedroom house surrounded by nature. Rooms will be either private or possibly shared depending on the preference of the group, and the number of tripmates.. let me know in the message. Machico

Day 1-2

Upon arrival in Madeira, you'll be greeted by the beautiful island scenery, with its rugged cliffs, lush greenery, and crystal-clear waters. I will pick you up straight from the airport to ensure hustle-free arrival! Then you can settle into your private bedroom and meet your tripmates. Our house is in Machico, this coastal town was the first capital of Madeira, has everything you might need plus a sandy beach and also lovely local pastry shops.

Praia de Seixal

Day 2

Island tour is about to start! It's time to introduce the island to you! Madeira's unique variety around the island makes it magical ride to explore.. I will take you to amazing low key viewing points, check out some cool waterfalls. We'll visit popular black sand beach and relax in natural volcanic pools in Seixal.. yes all that and more in one day.

Achadas da Cruz

Day 2

Later on we will also make it to an old farming village right on the wild west coast of the island accessible only by cable car. This cable car ride is one to remember, as it is descending in almost 100% and therefore is one of the steepest ones in Europe.

Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools

Day 2-3

Volcanic natural pools in Madeira are in various locations, we can choose which ones we like the most! However Porto Moniz is also a great spot for sunset in the summer, so imagine soaking in a beautiful blue ocean pool whilst the sun is going down over the ocean .. What a dream!

Vereda do Larano

Day 3

Today it is time to show you the variety of nature in one hike! This hike takes us from the East of the island, alongside of levada, to beautiful cliffs of the north east all the way to an amazing surf town called Porto da Cruz, which luckily is also home of my absolutely favourite restaurant! Here you get to chance to fuel yourself with delicious seafood and other local food!

Day 3-4

After Vereda do Larano I always love to visit this magical surfing town on the north-east coast. Not only it is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by green hills and offers two of the islands favourite surfing spot, it also houses an amazing restaurant with tasty traditional dishes and in my opinion, best Poncha on the island!

PR1 Vereda do Areeiro

Day 4-5

Whilst the most stunning hike PR1 is temporarily closed, we can still visit the 2nd highest peak for sunset or hike part of the amazing hike to get this great experience! We will adjust this according to the wishes of the group but be sure that the views of this mountain range are not to be missed!!

Praia de Machico

Day 5

Time to explore the ocean! As our legs might be a bit tired after challenging hike, This time we will hop on board of speedboat to explore the deep waters of Madeira. And most importantly it's wildlife! We get to see variety of ocean mammals , watch whales in their most natural habitat and might even get the chance to swim with dolphins. This unforgettable experience won't leave you untouched!

Funchal City Center

Day 5-6

After an ocean trip we will get to sit down to meal and traditional refreshing drink - Poncha. Besides treating ourselves with our last big meal together we will explore Funchal bay and picturesque Old town with many bars & restaurants and beautiful Zona Velha with its painted doors.

Ponta do Sol

Day 6-7

Free Day! During my trips, even though they are packed with adventure, thrills, amazing views and great laughs I also like to make sure we have time to fulfil your personal wishes! We can either book a surfing lesson, explore more of Funchal city vibes, do a canyoning tour or just chill on the beach! Whatever the mood of the group is, I love to keep the flexibility, so please don't hesitate to ask and come up with your suggestion!

Fanal Forestry Station

Day 7

This incredibly magical place on the island is one to not miss! If we have time to do a hike we can choose one of many around or depending on energy level we might just go for a picturesque picnic in this magical forest. Wether we witness it in fog or on a bright day, it is truly unique experience

Levada Nova

Day 7-8

The last day we can do a morning hike, this one along the Levada Nova, one of the island's most famous Levada trails, which follows ancient irrigation channels along the edges of steep cliff. Stunning view of greenery and the ocean in the background. It's not a challenging route so perfect to stretch our bodies after so much done during the trip! The rest of the day is free for suggestions to spend rest of the trip to everybody's liking :) To finish of the trip we can go to an amazing party organized by local Digital Nomad community!

Pico do Facho

Day 8

Depending on your flights, this might be your last day. Of course you will be dropped at the airport in time for your departure. Time to say our farewells and just hope we see each other again on future travels!
