Aside from hiking, you can also go canyoning, take a boat trip to see dolphins, or simply relax in the natural lava pools of Porto Moniz. The year-round warm weather makes it a great choice no matter the season. For an unforgettable experience, take a trip to Teide National Park, where you can watch the sunset from Spain’s highest mountain.

3. Puglia, Italy

Flee away from Rome’s overwhelming crowd to Puglia, a charming Italian gem waiting to be explored. TripLeader Inti from Italy recommended Puglia for its relaxed atmosphere, beautiful UNESCO-listed villages, and authentic Italian cuisine. “The food revolves around local produce, so the dishes on offer will vary depending on what’s in season. You can try fried polenta, ricotta, and Primitivo red wine,” said Inti.

Puglia is one of the best places to travel with friends for the slow travel-loving group. You can immerse yourself in the romantic countryside of Italy. Stop by historic towns such as Matera and soak up the sun on the beaches of Polignano a Mare. Last but not least, visit Alberobello, one of the most unique and beautiful villages in the world

“London shows a great blend between the old and the new. It is a historic city, but also full of modern and social media-worthy spots. Hit the streets and experience the typical British lifestyle with your friends,” said TripLeader Joshua from England.

Like Josh said, London’s dynamic atmosphere is perfect for a group trip. You can explore the historic hotspots like Buckingham Palace and Tower Bridge. Then, delve into the modern side by visiting Camden Market and dancing the night away in Soho. Moreover, London is the destination for pop culture and movie geeks. You can visit the Warner Bros’ Studio to take a look at Harry Potter’s filming set or the Notting Hill bookshop which was featured in the movie with the same name.

“I love taking my group to Dublin. There is endless things to do in the city like culinary tour, Guinness Storehouse, or simply vibing to music in Temple Bar,” said TripLeader Oxana, an adventure designer with 10 years of experience.

Dublin is one of the best places to travel with friends, especially for young and ready-to-party groups. Start your day exploring the city’s historic sites like Trinity College and the Guinness Storehouse, where you can learn how Ireland’s most famous beer is made (and enjoy a pint with a view). JoinMyTrip’s travelers take group trips big and bold. For example, we choose the Lofoten Islands as one of the best places to travel with friends. Imagine spending time in the Arctic Circle, being surrounded by Norway’s dramatic fjords, and catching the Northern Lights. If you are feeling adventurous, we highly recommend traveling to the Lofoten Islands with your buddies. It calls the outdoor enthusiasts and photographers, allowing them to experience the picturesque villages of Reine and Nusfjord.

best places to travel with friends Corfu

8. Corfu, Greece

If you are feeling young and wild but also on a budget, forget about Santorini and Mykonos! Corfu might not have the Insta-perfect whitewashed villages, but its beaches and viewpoints can rival the other two. Moreover, it has a lot of cheap options that won’t make you break the bank.

Corfu enchants everyone who visits with charming old towns, flawless beaches, and lively nightlife. While other islands witnessed Ancient Greece, Corfu mostly kept the record of the Byzantine period and British colonialism. You can see Venetian-style buildings, including the Achilleion Palace. Of course, you could not miss Kavos, the island’s hottest party spot. You and your friends can go bar-hopping and dance the night away with travelers from all around the world.

9. Tokyo, Japan

The capital city of Japan won’t make you doze off in boredom. Instead, you will have a hard time choosing what you want to do first. That is what I felt when I visited Tokyo back in 2023. I wanted to do everything, from going on a shopping spree in Ginza to visiting the legendary Meiji Jingu Temple. Yet, the unique animal cafes in Harajuku or the go-karting experience in Shibuya are too interesting to miss!

Well, I recommend spending at least six days in Tokyo so you and your buddies can have a blast. Tokyo has everything, from beautiful Japanese temples, world-class theme parks to delicious Michelin-starred restaurants. You can explore a lot of activities, such as experiencing Shinjuku’s crazy nightlife, making a wish in the Asakusa Temple, and booking a ticket to the world’s only DisneySea.

best places to travel with friends Koh Phangan

10. Koh Phangan, Thailand

“Koh Phangan is the ultimate beach party destination in Southeast Asia. Digital nomads and influencers travel to this island regularly. So, if you love parties and the crowds, you will have a blast here!” said TripLeader Timo, who has spent the past years backpacking around Southeast Asia.

Like other Thai islands, Koh Phangan has an exquisite white-sand coastline and crystal-clear waters. It is the main venue for Thailand’s famous Full Moon Party, which is centered around Sunset Beach. Aside from parties, you can discover secluded beaches, hidden waterfalls, and breathtaking coral reefs. The island can be explored with a motorcycle. So, make sure to have the time of your life with your travel buddies!

11. Bali, Indonesia

Bali has never stepped down from the list of best places to travel with friends. As a young traveler, I do not doubt Bali. The island has what you want in a tropical paradise: picture-perfect beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a beautiful underwater landscape. Besides that, the Island of the Gods attracts travelers with its natural landscapes comprising ricefields and volcanoes, and a distinctive culture.

When traveling to Bali with friends, I never miss the Canggu or Seminyak area. It is where the aesthetic cafes, fabulous beach clubs, and great nightclubs are located (and as a Gen Z, I would NEVER miss a cute cafe). Besides that, you can learn surfing and do yoga in the area. If you and your friends hate touristy things, I recommend heading to Kintamani, a mountainous area with hot springs, or Lovina, a quaint region known for its dolphins.

Traveling to Hanoi means stepping into a different world every time you reach a new area. Some parts of Hanoi are chaotic and modern, with futuristic buildings and waves of motorcycles. Other parts take you back to 17th-century Hanoi, dreamy and nostalgic. Nonetheless, Hanoi is an exciting place to visit. The city has various activities, such as sitting near a train track in the Train Street, exploring the Old Quarter, and having strolls around Hoan Kiem Lake.

Our team once did a coworking session in Hanoi and loved every moment of it. Hanoi is considerably cheap, especially for food and accommodation. We rented a three-bedroom apartment for €30 per night. The food, like bun cha and pho, is wonderful, and small vendors sell it for less than €1 per portion.

You can also explore Fes, which is known for its tanneries, and Chefchaouen, the Blue City.
