IMPORTANT: Our main house is fully booked, but we give interested still the chance to participate and have rented for it apartment*** with 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms 500 m walking distance from the main house. You will of course have access to our house and can use all common areas. The purpose of our trip is that we see 1 x daily at least us and 1 x daily eat together and also celebrate together into the new year. YOUR TRAVELERS: the well-balanced Katja, 44 from Franconia // the much-traveled ex-tour guide Andrea, 50 from Franconia // the former tour guide Angelika, from HH // the sympathetic Anja 54 from NRW // the artistic Mathias (mid 40) and now also Martin (33) from Munich / Dublin and Sabita from Nuremberg / Nepal (30) ... as well as your hosts Emilio (45) and Kat (40); still want to be there? WHAT AWAITS YOU ON OUR TRIP? You want to spend New Year's Eve in the sun, with a relaxed group? You want to meet new people and spend 1-2 weeks in a colorful shared apartment? Cooking together, excursions if necessary, everything can, nothing has to - there is also enough time for personal time and downtime. In the surroundings are Malaga, Granada, the Sierra Nevada for hiking, the great villages of the Alpujarra or the Pueblos Blancos. We are happy to give you tips and recommend sharing a rental car - It's worth it! We got a great house, with 5 rooms, only about 15 min. walk to the sea and would like to celebrate New Year's Eve in a great group (ATTENTION: see note about the apartment above***). We are a couple, Kat just turned 40 and was actually living in Munich for many years, Emilio is a native of Chile and has lived in Berlin for the last few years and is in his mid 40's. We both love good food with good wine and great conversation. We love the exchange with other people and look forward to a colorful group. Regarding age we are open, but welcome a group around 35 - 50 years, you can find details about us below in the text. We are also happy if a couple should be there, single travelers are just as welcome! Our house has a gym and a pool as well as a great barbecue corner. So we will plan New Year's Eve in a group size of this kind, for organizational reasons we have only 2 places unlocked here, but there are more:-) New Year's Eve we would like to unceremoniously set up a great menu and start the new year with in the best case starry skies, sea and great people. The price includes: - Accommodation, 6 nights in the house (in a double room) - New Year's Eve menu prepared by us (cost of which will be apportioned see below ***) - New Year's brunch prepared by us (costs will be apportioned see below***) Food we buy for all days together, we take over this for you, so you have a stress-free time with us (calculates here once with 10 to 15 euros per day / per person), we put this over the app Splitwise. All guests then pay proportionally this flat rate per head, where the purchase does not include alcohol or special things, but is only for breakfast and dinner. YOU CAN BOOK A SINGLE ROOM FOR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE. We can check availability as soon as you make a booking request. The extra charge for the travel period is 85 euros. Attention: 1. our house is a non-smoking house, we prefer non-smokers :-) 2. the house goes over 3-4 levels, from the entrance over the garage to the upper floor of the house, so you should like stairs and be physically fit. 3. everything can, nothing must. Nevertheless, the focus is on COMMUNITY. I.e. we are not looking for loners, but people who like to share and do something in a group from time to time. 4. everyone takes responsibility, i.e. especially keeps the kitchen and common rooms clean! INFO: You are welcome to arrive flexibly, as long as the rooms are free. You are welcome to add Workation to the New Year's Eve event or we can coordinate your best arrival/departure flights. The nearest airport is MALAGA and from there there are direct buses to our location "Almuencar". We will help you with the arrival and coordination as soon as you have booked. Feel free to contact us! Some participants have already rented two cars, where you can join if necessary. Curious and want to be part of our New Year's Eve group? THEN BE PART OF OUR CO-MMUNITY :-)

It was soooo beautiful... 😍 and I don't know where to start with my praise 😅 Tripmates: Kat and Emilio are simply wonderful hosts, great cooks and very passionate about the area and have 1000 tips on what to do. I felt super comfortable with the two of them and it was like being at home with friends. I was alone with Kat and Emilio at the time and it was perfect. While the two of them worked, I explored the surrounding area and in the evenings we either made ourselves comfortable and chatted or went out into the town. Almuñécar and the surrounding area: Almuñécar is a cute little town with a Mediterranean flair and charm. And you can discover 1000 new things every day in the surrounding area. And as it was winter and I'm a culture vulture, I discovered Granada, Nerja, Frigiliana, the white villages and Cordoba for myself... and I have to say: it's worth the trip! Really beautiful and very empty in winter as far as the classic tourist attractions are concerned... I certainly didn't want to visit the Alhambra in summer... 🙈 What else is there? I had rented a car for the time and was therefore very flexible and out of season, it's really super cheap at 10 euros a day for all-in. So, full marks for a great trip with great TripMates

Trip Itinerary
1

Almuñécar

Day 1-8
A small town, between Malaga and Granada, not too big, not too small, with small cozy streets, bars and stores. The highlight is the 14-km-long beach promenade and the relatively consistent and beautiful weather.
2

Granada

Day 8
In the surrounding area there are great cities, and from the house you can see the Sierra Nevada mountains, which invite you to go hiking. Many places are accessible by bus. We definitely recommend a trip to Granada.
3

La Alpujarra

Day 8
A region with great mountain villages, fantastic hiking options and great views. Here we also have a great route that we recommend you. Three wonderful, small villages, invite you to spend the day here and try local products. You can also hike between the villages.
4

Frigiliana

Day 8
Andalusia is known for its white villages. This is a somewhat unknown village, with great charm. In addition, sports-motivated people can climb up to the village mountain or go hiking from here. You can reach the village by car in about 30 minutes from our location.
5

Almuñécar

Day 8
Celebrate New Year's Eve, cook together, drink, laugh and brunch the next day! Would you like to do that this time in the sun, directly by the sea with a nice group of people you don't know? Then let's go to Spain!
