One of the most famous places for safari in the world. The Maasai Mara National Reserve extends over 1,510 km2 and has more than 95 species of mammals and more than 400 species of birds. Hippos can be spotted easily from the island, as well as zebras, giraffes, impalas and buffalos on the island itself and fish eagles, herons, ospreys, black crakes, lily-trotters and other birds in the sky or on the shores.
