The real Morocco - centuries-old bazaars, oases, delicious food, narrow streets, traditional houses made of clay, dates, the best orange juice in the world and much more, all this can be experienced in Morocco. If you have always wanted to experience the magic of the Orient, you should travel with me. It is intended to cover the first part of the route by train and then switch to rental cars to stop in between and also be able to travel off the standard paths. In the first part we will visit Casablanca (yes the city from the movie), Rabat and Fez. If you like, you can join me for sightseeing - although I like to sit in a café for a while or do some shopping in between. The schedule allows that contrary to usual standard tours in any case. The second part of the trip takes us through breathtaking landscapes and offers the opportunity to experience the original Morocco: Oases and old cities made of clay - adventures like from the movies. And after we have crossed the Atlas Mountains, at the very end comes another jewel: Marrakech.... If you feel like it and bring the necessary equipment, you can climb the highest mountain of the Atlas Mountains (Jbel Toubkal) afterwards or instead of spending 2 days in Marrakech. The "base camp" can be reached comfortably from Marrakech and the view must be fantastic.

The planning of the accommodations is not yet finalized, because I would like to be guided by you. For me, everything is conceivable: from shared rooms in the hostel, to single rooms in the upper-middle class I do everything. Gladly we can also indulge a stop in luxury, as I said: it's up to you.

Casablanca

Day 1-4
And here we go: "I think this is the beginning of a wonderful friendship", "Play again, Sam!", "Look me in the eyes, little one!" or even "What nationality are you? - I'm a drunkard!"... Already guessed which movie and starting point of our journey we are talking about? Right, we will start our journey in the biggest city of Morocco. Casablanca is located directly on the Atlantic coast and offers many cafes, restaurants and bars (Rick's Café from the movie..., Sky28), a beach incl. promenade (Ain Diab / The Corniche), many shopping opportunities (Central Market, Morocco Mall) and of course sightseeing (The Old Medina, King's Palace, Hassan II Mosque, Cathedral du Sacre Coeur).
2

Rabat

Day 4-6
Next stop - capital, seat of government and residence of the king. We will take the train from Casablanca to Rabat. The short train ride of about 1 hour will take us north along the Atlantic coast, because Rabat is also located by the sea (incl. beach). Along with Fez, Meknès and Marrakech, it is one of the four royal cities of Morocco. The sightseeing possibilities here are also considerable, as is the range of relaxed bars, restaurants and cafes. Rabat is much smaller than Casablanca, but as a whole is classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The city can be seen....
3

Fes

Day 6-8
Again, we continue by train in a relaxed manner. This time inland to Fez. It is the oldest of the four royal cities and is home to the oldest university in the world (Qarawiyyin). In addition, Fez is world famous for its traditional tanneries and dye works. Odor-wise, these probably hold a few surprises "in store". But also here we will have enough time to immerse ourselves in the centuries-old city and to inspect the narrow streets and stores more closely.
4

Tinghir

Day 8-10
In Fez, we will board our own vehicle and head south from there. Depending on the size of the group, anything between a small four-seater and a van is conceivable. So we can definitely stop everywhere and enjoy the landscape, a coffee or a good meal. The drive from Fes to Tinghir takes about 7 - 9 hrs, depending on the number and duration of stops. Tinghir itself is located in / at the Todra Oasis, which is one of the most beautiful in Morocco. Therefore we will spend one day here and another day exploring the Tondra Gorge. If you feel like it, you can hike with me for 2-3 hours or do a bigger tour.
5

Ouarzazate

Day 10-12
Two places from movies at once. If you're a Game of Thrones fan, you might recognize Ait Ben Haddou - but Telouet Kasbah is also worth a visit. The old clay towns are lined with palm trees and invite you to explore the narrow streets on foot. The pictures probably speak for themselves. Ait Ben Haddo is of course also a Unesco World Heritage Site.
6

Marrakesh

Day 12-15
Our last stop will be a final highlight: Marrakech. If at all possible, we will stay in an old riad (a traditional house with a courtyard) and spend our last days visiting hammams, roof-top bars, markets and sightseeing. Then it's time to say goodbye and leave our newfound friends behind for the time being, but all the richer in memories and impressions.
