Discover San Francisco & the surrounding area

Within 8 days, various day trips are planned to explore San Francisco extensively on foot and by public transportation. You are welcome to join or wander through the city on your own. Along the beach on the west coast to the Golden Gate Bridge, walk over the bridge and enjoy the sunset, which covers the skyline in the most dazzling colors. Up the east coast, past Fishermen's Wharf, to the eastern side of the most famous bridge in the world. But also Midtown should not be missed. Here remain 2-3 days for shopping, cable car ride, museums, churches and other sights to marvel at. From day 7 we have a rental car, with which we would look in Silicon Valley at the big ones and then go to Livermore in the outlet shopping paradise.

We will get an early start and head north. To Muir Woods, a protected area in Marin County about 15 kilometers north of San Francisco. Here we plan to do leisurely hiking tours. There are different routes between 1,5 - 3 hours where we will choose the most beautiful one. Afterwards we will go for a stroll through the dreamy artist "village" Sausalito. Colorful houses and ships captivate everyone.

From here, various explorations are on the schedule. Carmel-by-the-Sea, Monterey, Sant Cruz Among other things: Dinner in Monterey, breakfast at Loulou's Griddle and exploring 17mile Drive. On the way to the airport, we will have a little stop in Santa Cruz and then we will go back to Germany.
