Guided trip
Hello everyone, This trip will be adventurous and wild! Are you ready to get away from the hustle and bustle of work and digital media and disappear into nature for a few days? Then this trip is exactly what you are looking for. We start together in Stockholm and drive by rental car towards Swedish Lapland, where we spend one or two nights in a cozy cottage before we head out to our husky pack the next morning. We will disappear into nature for some days, guided by our husky sleds, searching for elk tracks and gazing at the northern lights. Shoes and warm overalls are provided and during the tour, food is taken care of - we might even cook outside at a fireplace. Nights will be spent at a traditional Swedish house. You should be prepared for cold temperatures, lots of adventure, and a few days without cell phones, and be a team player as both the other travelers and the huskies are part of your family for this trip! :) What's included in the price? 💰 - The accommodations (shared room) - Rental car - Husky tour - Overalls, snowshoes - Food during the sled dog tour and experienced guides are included in the price. The only separate costs are gas and food for the days before and after the tour, but we will create a Splitwise account and share the costs between us. Lia is a very open-minded person. She knows how to combine the interests of her fellow travelers appropriately. As a tour guide, Lia is very well prepared and seeks out varied activities for the trip that make everyone feel included. Nevertheless, the trip is not overplanned and there is the necessary flexibility for a trip that should also offer relaxation.

Trip Itinerary
1

Stockholm

Day 1-3
Let's get this trip started with some cultural impact and enjoy the beauty and variety of Sweden's capital, Stockholm. We can go to museums, visit the palest, stroll through the city and enjoy the unique Scandinavian vibe by checking out the best cafés and restaurants.
2

Uppsala

Day 3-4
Time to get driving our rental car towards Swedish Lapland where we spend one night in a cozy cottage in Lappland, cook together and have a nice evening together with a glass of wine before we start our husky tour. On our way to the north, we can visit the city of Gävle or have a nice walk by the lake of Hudiksvall. We can decide on this together.
3

Almsjönäs

Day 4
Today, probably late in the afternoon, we will finally arrive at our dog sledding location. It will be a long drive, but totally worth it and a fun roadtrip! Here we get to know our dog pack and everyone meets their animals. We get an introduction to dog sledding and spend the evening having dinner together in a cozy log cabin. We rest and prepare our equipment, because the next day we start our excursion!

Vindeln

Day 5-6
In the morning, we go into the wilderness with the sled dog teams. Everyone drives their own team of 3-4 large, powerful Alaskan Malamutes and Greenland Dogs. These dogs are much bigger and stronger than the newfangled sled dogs that are mostly used for tourist tours nowadays. They have a special charisma with a lot of personality and human kindness. The route and accommodation can be arranged in the group and adapted to the wishes of the guests. We will go on a journey through the wild mountain valleys and look for traces of moose and wolves. There are several wilderness cabins that can be approached. Of course, we have to take the weather into account when deciding on the course of the tour.
6

Vindeln

Day 6-7
On the next day, we will roam with our teams through the tranquility of the Scandinavian winter landscape and reach the camp in the afternoon, where it will be time to say goodbye to our dogs. If we are lucky, we will see the northern lights at night or even some reindeers!
7

Stockholm

Day 7-8
We pack our things and drive with our rental car back towards Stockholm, where we have one last night together to go through the exciting pictures and stories of the last days. Depending on the time of arrival in Stockholm, we can go to a pub and enjoy our last evening together.
8

Stockholm

Day 8
It's time to leave this beautiful country. We take the rental car and head to the airport to return to reality from our adventure. Fortunately, even after that, no one can take away these unique memories! Depending on the time of your flight, we can arrange some last activities in the city.
