Note: I am looking exclusively for female fellow travelers - that makes a lot of planning etc. easier! - Sorry men... It goes for me the 2nd time to SOA and this time I want to see not only Thailand, even if Thailand is beautiful. My 1st trip I did on my own and it was just a dream! Because I have already seen the north and the islands in the Gulf of Thailand, this time I want to go towards the Andaman Sea. I find it important to stay flexible, so I would book only the first or the first two nights for us and then we just drift....Possible destinations would be the Khao Sok National Park, Koh Phi Phi (filming location of "The Beach"), Koh Lanta, Langkawi, Penang, Kuala Lumpur, Cameron Highlands, possibly also a side trip to Singapore, etc.. The whole thing should be a mixture of culture, party, sports (diving) and relaxing. Thailand has enchanted me and I will make sure that it enchants you too :)

Since you don't spend much time in the accommodation on vacation anyway, I prefer hostels or cheap hotels or resorts. I attach importance to cleanliness, a warm shower and a not too hard bed. Whether we stay in dorms or private rooms is up to everyone. The last two nights I would like to treat myself to some luxury!

Phuket

Day 1-3
Our plane lands on the peninsula of Phuket. So far I have not heard much good about this tourist island, but I prefer to make myself a picture of it. Phuket has away from the hustle and bustle of the old town and Patong very nice beaches where you can super relax and snorkel. Since Phuket is very large and touristy, it is very cheap in contrast to the other islands. On the 2nd day I would like to rent a scooter to explore these beaches and then to Monkey Hill to watch some cute monkeys in their wild. The nightlife on Phuket is supposed to be very extensive!
2

Phi Phi Islands

Day 3-5
The movie "The Beach" with Leonardo Di Caprio was filmed here, which is why the island is unfortunately very touristy. On Phi Phi you should be able to get in touch with people very easily and party very well.
3

Ko Lanta Yai

Day 5-7
Ko Lanta is a very relaxed island with white beaches and light blue sea. Here we can recover from the last days party. The island with its paradisiacal beaches can be explored wonderfully with a scooter.
4

Langkawi

Day 7-10
From Ko Lanta we continue directly by boat to Malaysia to the island of Langkawi. On Langkawi, no taxes are levied, which is why the beer here costs less than €1. There are busy and less busy beaches, jungle, mangrove forests, mountains, waterfalls, wild monkeys and many friendly islanders.
5

George Town

Day 10-12
By boat we continue to Penang, the largest island in Malaysia. Here there is the British artist town Georgetown, which impresses with its colorful buildings. We are welcome to take a day trip to a smaller island or just see what is worth seeing on Penang.
6

Cameron Highlands

Day 12-14
By bus we continue to the Malaysian mainland in the direction of Cameron Highlands. They are the green heart of Malaysia. We marvel at the tea plantations at an altitude of over 2,000 m and perhaps join a trekking tour.
7

Kuala Tahan

Day 14-16
This beautiful national park (Taman Negara) is home to breathtaking plant and animal life. With its 130 million year old tropical jungle, Taman Negara is home to the oldest forest area on earth. Leopards, tigers, wild boars, deer, elephants, rhinos, hornbills, monkeys and many other animals live here in the wild.
8

Kuala Lumpur

Day 16-18
Our last stop takes us to Kuala Lumpur. From here we can fly back to Germany at a reasonable price. Besides, Kuala Lumpur has a lot to offer in terms of sightseeing, street food and nightlife.
9

Taman Negara Gunung Gading

Day 18-20
This beautiful national park in the heart of Malaysia is home to the oldest forest area on earth. 130 million years old, this tropical jungle offers breathtaking wildlife and flora. It is home to a variety of wildlife, such as leopards, elephants, wild boar, numerous bird species and insects, as well as habitat for the indigenous natives, the Orang Asli.
