We'll meet in Vancouver at our accommodation. Throughout the trip, all accommodation will be pre-booked and each trip-mate will have their own bed, but please be prepared to share a room. Depending on the availability of accommodation, some rooms have bunk beds. You will be introduced to anyone you are sharing a room with ahead of the trip. When you check-in at the accommodation, you will be given your trip-packs which give the details of all the planned elements of our time in Canada. After settling in, we shall head to a great bar for a welcome drink and get to know each other. No serious plans on night-one. You're able to explore into the evening and the night if you would like to, but after a long flight, you may also prefer to get some rest. The following day we'll have time to explore Vancouver and then we'll come together for an evening meal before our road trip begins.
Harrison Hot Springs
After a lazy morning in Vancouver, we will jump in the car and begin our road trip! First stop is Harrison Hot Springs. We will take advantage of the fact that we are on holiday and relax in the famous hot springs! Harrison Lake and Sasquatch Park offer a multitude of activities for those who are looking for some outdoor fun and adventure. Maybe we'll come together for an evening meal at our accommodation before setting off in the morning for our next destination.
Today is a driving day. We're on a road trip. so there are going to be some of these. Our destination is Revelstoke and Glacier National Park - a real photographers' paradise! We will stop in Kamloops on the way to stretch our legs and get a bite to eat but when we arrive, make sure you have your camera's ready! We will pay a visit to Mount Revelstoke National Park and take the road that winds up to the summit of Mount Revelstoke. The view is simply breathtaking! We will also stop at Rogers Pass Discovery Centre, where we can admire the magnificent scenery and learn about the region's fascinating history.
After Revelstoke, this country just continues to get more beautiful! We will base ourselves in Banff for three-nights, giving us time to explore the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The region of Banff is home to Lake Louise which we will certainly make sure we get there. There will be a couple of early mornings if you want the stunning photos at Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, but it is worth it. There are incredible walks or hikes we can do and there is the gondola ride to the summit of Sulphur Mountain, where we can enjoy the stunning views across the entire region. We may choose to go further west to visit Yoho National Park with its many attractions including the Emerald Lake trails and Takakkaw Falls.
This morning we will set out for Jasper. We will drive the Icefields Parkway, one of the most beautiful roads in the world. On the way, we have the Peyto Lake trail which offers an easy 15-minute walk to spectacular vistas. There's also the Athabasca Glacier as well as the Sunwapta Falls and Canyon. After our first night in Jasper, we'll head to Maligne Lake and have lunch in a beautiful spot overlooking the water. There'll be a tour boat waiting to take us to Spirit Island where we'll hear about some of the history of the Rockies and have a chance to see the most photographed island in the world.
Wells Gray Provincial Park
This morning we will set out for Wells Gray Provincial Park. Opportunities to see wildlife along the Yellowhead Highway between Jasper and Mount Robson are excellent and along the route! Wells Gray Provincial Park is one of British Columbia's most spectacular wilderness parks, famous for its impressive waterfalls. We will marvel at Helkmen Falls, cascading in a straight drop of 141 metres into an immense canyon and if you're a swimming enthusiast, you can take a dip in the waters of Clearwater Lake.
The adventure continues in the direction of Whistler. Be prepared for a day in the car, but it's worth the journey! Nestled in a beautiful natural mountain setting, Whistler is a vibrant and lively resort town with a wide assortment of restaurants, boutiques and sidewalk cafes. It is no wonder that Whistler, North America's number one ski resort, was chosen to host the 2010 Winter Olympic Games!
Today we will take the panoramic ''Sea to Sky'' highway to the Pacific coast. Its stunning views will take your breath away! A ferry will take us across to Vancouver Island. We will stop in Qualicum Beach, a haven of peace with a magnificent view of the Straight of Georgia and the snowy peaks of the Coast Mountains. Enjoy a walk along one of Qualicum Beach's many waterfront or beach trails and drink in the peace of our surroundings.
Pacific Rim National Park Reserve
We will then continue on to Ucluelet. Along the away is Cathedral Grove, a sacred place for the First Nations people and a magical place where we will find enormous 800 year old Douglas firs. Ucluelet is on the edge of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, home to most beautiful beaches in Canada, bordered by lush temperate rainforest. We will spend a day exploring Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. The Long Beach section, a stretch of fine sandy beach pounded by the Pacific surf, is definitely a must-see. We will watch the sun set over the ocean from Radar Hill also then have an evening meal in Tofino, a picturesque fishing village.
This morning we take an enjoyable ferry ride back to the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver. After a final day and night in the city - our trip will end and you'll have so many memories, you'll want to do it all over again!

Hey there! I've been very lucky to be able to travel to a few different countries across the world on work and personal trips and it would be great if you'd like to come along on the next adventure. I became a Trip Leader on Join My Trip to not only find some quality people to visit new countries with. But I also wanted to take the opportunity to revisit some of the places I've been to before and share some knowledge about where to go and where to avoid. I love everything from a city break to a road-trip. You'll see that my trips include exploring cities for a few nights, to longer road-trips that take in a number of sights on one holiday. You can have real confidence that all my trips are clearly and well organised, but focus on building friendships and connection with each other and also leave room for spontaneous changes to the plan.Profile description: Hey there!
