Guided trip
Rio Carnival is the place to be if you like to party and know different cultures. The festival represents the city culture and history, and nothing better than a local to show how to party in the right way. What is included in this experience? - parading with one local samba school (Vila Isabel or Portela) - watching the samba school parade (2 - 4 nights - grand stands or boxes) - visit some of the city historical and touristic places - visit local restaurants and bars - one Brazilian meal (dinner or lunch) - beach time - hang out with locals and get to know more the Carioca culture. Trip cost includes costume parade, parade tickets, some of the tourist attractions tickets and a local guide with the group all the time. For the accommodation, we are still looking for either a hostel or a rental apartment. Price indicates the shared room option, but we can check double or single rooms too. Copacabana

Day 1-2
Meet your TripMates and start to explore the city! We will start this adventure visiting some of the most important touristic places and exploring Rio´s night life and some local parties near the hotel. For the first night, we will meet at the accommodation and head to the sambadrome for the first night of parades at the sambadrome.
2

Rio de Janeiro

Day 2-3
We will spend the day getting to know the city, exploring the best spots. The most famous sights will not be missed, and we will pay a visit to Jesus statue and the sugar loaf (please tell if you are afraid of heights). We will have the chance also to enjoy some local Brazilian food.
3

Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí

Day 3-4
Sunday and Monday nights we will be enjoying the biggest show on earth and be part of it. The idea is to enjoy the first night watching and parade with Vila Isabel on the second night. During the day the idea is to rest at the beach and get ready for the night party and visit some touristic points.
4

Ipanema

Day 4-5
We will start our last day at Ipanema Beach and the world famous hippie market, with great handcraft objects. In the afternoon, I suggest returning to the sambadrome and enjoy the children parade, where the future of the samba will be parading. We can try buying tickets for the boxes, with food and drinks included.
