Guided trip
I recently came back from a trip to the Mighty Victoria falls, Zambia with a TripMate Katy from Germany, we had an awesome experience.. we managed to do a cross-over into Zimbabwe, Botswana and Zambia in eight days ! 😊🌞😊 I would like to share the experience with others yet again! The weather is perfect! and Livingstone is the right place to be.😊🌞😊 If you have been wanting to go on a work and adventure trip then do take some time to join me am looking for 3-4 Tripmates to travel with me to Livingstone-Victoria Falls and cross over into Zimbabwe and view the falls from the Zim side as well ,then we get to see the mosi-tunya national park, One of the days we get to travel to Botswana and visit Chobe National park. My name is Sharon Hagwamuna, am a Zambian Local, Tonga by tribe am 32 years old and I love traveling but I rarely get the chance because most of my friends are so busy! And traveling alone can be kind of boring sometimes, so if anyone out there gets bored traveling alone, then this trip is for you! Let me yup a bit about the trip: 😊 We will get to hear the thunderous roar of the Victoria Falls long before you see it. The sheer force of the water plunging over the edge drives a column of spray high into the air that drenches everything (and everyone) in a fine mist. There's a good reason why the traditional Tonga name for the Falls is 'Mosi-o-Tunya' or 'The Smoke That Thunders'. As you get closer, the thundering sound gets louder and even before you come out onto the Knife Edge Bridge that passes right in front of the Falls, you can feel the spray on your face. Are you a fan of bungee jumping? Whitewater rafting? Swimming under a massive waterfall? Maybe extreme fishing is your thing? (I actually have no idea what the last one entails πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, but I just assume that the fish are like, really extreme). Adrenaline junkies will be pleased to hear that you can do all of this and more in Livingstone. We can go micro lighting so that we get a mind-blowing view of the Victoria Falls and an even greater sense of how huge and magnificent it is. 😊 Well then there is Bungee Jumping I want to get do it this time around I always chicken out! but hey!!! free falling and sailing through the air in absolute silence like a ninja will be awesome right? 😊 The other good news is that we can happily see wildlife in the actual wild by going on a walking safari or game drive in the Mosi O Tunya National Park. We can go on an afternoon walking safari we will be able to see a variety of wildlife 🐘🐘, including the rare white rhino!. I have organized activities which are optional and come with a cost below: 1. Experience At the Devils pool at Victoria Falls €150 2. We get to visit the Livingstone Island €93 3. Trip Itinerary
1

Livingstone Island

Day 1-2
We can walk across the top of the Victoria Falls through the Livingstone Island tour. We will get a chance to walk back around to the beginning of the main path to the Falls and cross over to the other side. The island is where David Livingstone first laid eyes upon the amazing Victoria Falls
2

Devils Pool Victoria Falls

Day 2-4
If you want to get as perilously close as possible to the edge of the Victoria Falls but in a much safer way than we did above, then a visit to Livingstone Island is for you and the devils pool has a great view!
3

Swing over Gorge

Day 4-5
The gorge swing isn't really the correct name for this activity. It's more like a gorge 'drop'. The 'swing' is suspended across a gorge (316m wide and 120m deep) through which the Victoria Falls used to flow. A harness is attached to the person jumping and you basically leap off the edge of the gorge and free fall 70m before going into a 95m long pendulum swing
4

Livingstone

Day 5-6
The microlight shows you the most stunning views of Victoria Falls and the formation of the Batoka Gorge. The 15 minutes flight goes over the falls themselves. The 30 minutes flight goes over the falls and includes a game flight over Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. Its recommend the first or last flight of the day, because that’s usually when the animals come out. You can not bring your own camera on the flight, but there is a camera mounted to the wing which takes photos, which you can be purchased after the flight.
5

Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park

Day 6-7
We can happily see wildlife in the actual wild by going on a walking safari or game drive in the Mosi O Tunya National Park. We can go on an afternoon walking safari and be able to see a variety of wildlife, including the rare white rhino! The game drive takes place in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, which is the local park here in Livingstone. It has beautiful scenery and its located right next to the Zambezi river. The park is the smallest National Park in Zambia and has a wide variety of game, including white rhinos. There are no predators except for crocs. Special highlight; it has a grave sight of the first settlers of Livingstone
6

Livingstone

Day 7-8
1.FREE Weekly Livingstone Town Walk Walk around Livingstone town with one of our staff members as your guide. He will show you around, take you to the oldest building still standing and through some o the back streets. You will get a great feeling for the town 2.African Culture & Cooking tour Explore the local markets, (craft, furniture, food and township markets) and try your hand at some local Zambian cooking before having a great local lunch. This trip also includes basic local language lessons and a historical tour of town. Within 4 hours you’ll be emerged in the Zambian culture.
7

Zambezi River , livingstone section

Day 8-9
Rafting the Zambezi is an amazing experience. Depending on the water levels there are different options. The trip includes all equipment, lunch, water, transfers and for the full day includes a light dinner. What to bring, change of clothes, sunscreen and a sense of adventure. its recommended to wear clothes that can get wet, sport sandals and a minimum level of fitness is required. High water rafting Is a half day adventure and you raft rapids 11 to 25. Usually high water is December/January to June/July
