Hello everyone! 👋 Let me first introduce myself, I'm Lauren! I'm a dedicated language and travel geek in love with the outdoors and exploring new places. I'm currently based in Antigua, Guatemala and work in the tourism industry, which is why I would love to share some of the best activities and sightseeing tried and tested by me so that you can also fall in love with some incredible places Let me tell you about the trip 📍 Spend a week discovering Guatemala as we hike, bike and kayak through its stunning landscapes. From our base in the colorful colonial city of Antigua, we'll be exploring local ruins, active volcanoes, and culinary highlights, before taking a well-deserved break at lake Atitlan to relax and unwind and learn more about the local culture through its artisans, farming, and ancient traditions. 💰 What is included in the price? 🛏️ Accommodation (based on 2 sharing, private available +€20/night) 🚗 Transport (inc airport transfers) 🚴 Activities except for optional activities ✏️ Itinerary: Day 1 - Arrival and transfer to Antigua. Optional 3pm walking tour of the city. Day 2 - Optional lost city bike tour of Antigua (€25) and it's surroundings in the morning. You'll even have the option to take the 1.5 hour uphill journey on horseback (€17 more). Day 4 - Acatenango hike (includes transport, guide, food and all equipment) - wake up early to embark on the 5-6 hour hike up to Acatenango base camp. Oh my gosh I honestly dont even know where to start. My first JoinMyTrip booking, didnt know what to expect, Lauren was great at communication beforehand to answer some of my queries and then she arranged my transport from airport to town which was super easy to find and then met me at my hotel and right off the bat we hit it off. Lauren is so nice and welcoming and I felt in good hands straight away. Everything she organized was so much fun, well planned and a couple of things on her list that I wasn't too keen on, she was super flex in accommodating and made suggestions for other things that were great also. She was super open to anything that I was interested in and from her local knowledge was able to make my experience in Guatemala feel super authentic and it was super fun! Thanks so much for a fantastic time in Guatemala, hopefully we'll meet again soon:)
