Welcome to a fantastic 5 day trip down some of the best coastline in the world! We start in Seattle, and drive down the Oregon Coast and then the California Coast, finishing to the world famous San Francisco! I've done this trip 3 times, I know the good places to stop. We will stop at many cool beaches, rainforest areas, cool beach towns, cafes, bakeries. I provide the large 12 passenger van, the driving, and my knowledge of the area. You will love the scenery and unique vistas. Cities and Towns: -Astoria, Cannon Beach, Tillamook, Cape Meares, Depoe Bay, Yachats, Oregon Dunes, Coos Bay, historic Bandon. Nature: -Redwood Forest Grove of the Titans, Avenue of the Giants, Coastal temperate Rainforest areas, Mendocino, Wine Country

Firstly, I love traveling the Pacific Coast and by the end of this trip you will also. It's a special mix of nature and cities like no other. My background: I am from Seattle originally, and lived all over Washington DC, San Francisco, Arizona. I've traveled quite a bit, and I enjoy seeing places by land travel if possible. Some favorite trips include: taking buses all over Eastern Europe and the Balkans, the coastal areas of Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina, cycling Seattle to Vancouver. I worked in analyst and research roles for over 10 years at big tech companies, international banks, and airlines.

We will stay at accommodations along the way. We may choose based on where people want to stay and the I know some of the spots that are good deals and good quality. Nightly price should be about $125/night for a single room. We do not need to stay in the same places, but we need to stay nearby. Each day we will aim to be finished driving by 5-7PM.

Cannon Beach

Day 1-2

The views of Cannon Beach are instantly charming. There's a lot to see at this popular beach area and the neighboring towns of Seaside and Neahkahnie Beach Iconic Haystack Rock - 235-foot tall sea stack with tide pools for exploring marine life and stunning sunset photography. Pristine Wide Sandy Beach - Four miles of clean, spacious shoreline perfect for long walks, beachcombing, and relaxation. Charming Coastal Village - Walkable downtown with local art galleries, boutique shops, and cozy restaurants in an authentic small-town atmosphere without chain stores

Coos Bay

Day 2-3

We'll visit many beach towns and hidden gems along the coast down to Coos Bay. The misty air has a magical feeling and too many photo ops to list. -Newport -Depoe Bay (whale watching opportunity -Cape Perpetua Overlook -Thor's Well (a hole in volcanic rock that spouts water) -Oregon Dunes (inspiration for the movie Dune) -Yachats (Amazing tidepools and lighthouse)

Fortuna

Day 3-4

On this day we enter California and see some of the largest trees in the world! We'll have chances to stop and look around along the way. -Grove of Titans (giant redwood trees (coastal sequoias, short hikes) -Redwood State Park trails -Crescent City -Arcata

Mendocino

Day 4-5

We have more flexibility on this day. We can wander down around the Mendocino coastal areas and into wine country spots. -Avenue of the Giants (a road running through massive trees) -Local food shops, bakeries, and markets -Coastal views

San Francisco

Day 5-6

We end our trip in San Francisco, a city where I've spent some time. We'll hit a few places before we arrive and do some must see San Francisco things! -Muir Beach -Muir Woods -Presidio -Coit Tower -Golden Gate Park -Mission Neighborhood food scene
