Let's explore North Macedonia together - it will be my first time as well! On our trip to Ohrid, we'll explore the stunning lakeside views and visit the ancient churches and monasteries that make the city a UNESCO World Heritage site. One highlight will be taking a traditional Macedonian cooking class, where we'll learn to prepare local dishes. We'll also enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Lake Ohrid and stroll through the charming Old Town filled with local crafts and history.

Ohrid
Day 1-2
Day of arrival! We will meet at our hotel in Ohrid, all details will be discussed beforehand in our WhatsApp group. In the evening, we can have a nice group dinner together and get to know each other!

Day 2-3
We will start with a visit to Church of St. John at Kaneo, perched on a cliff over Lake Ohrid. After that, we wander through the Old Town, exploring cobbled lanes, artisan stalls, local cafés, and traditional architecture. Of course, we will visit the main sights as Samuel’s Fortress for panoramic views over the city and the lake as well as the Ancient Theatre of Ohrid, an open‑air Hellenistic site dating back to about 200 BC. There will also be some time for shopping some souvenirs to bring back home.

Day 3-4
We will take a scenic boat ride across Lake Ohrid, along the old town, from where we can enjoy in the best view and see most of the landmarks in the old town. Cooking class! Join a hands-on Macedonian cooking class and learn to prepare traditional dishes like tavče gravče and ajvar (for example). Guided by a local, we discover authentic techniques and flavors passed down through generations.

Day 4-5
Today we enjoy the water: you can go stand‑up paddleboarding or kayaking on Lake Ohrid. If you’re up for adrenalin, consider paragliding over Lake Ohrid and Galicica Mountain! The promenade stretches along the lake with charming cafés and ice cream spots. It’s perfect for an easy stroll with spectacular views and people watching. We will finish the day with a sunset drink at a rooftop bar!

Day of departure! We will have breakfast together at our hotel and say goodbye to each other! If your flight is later today, you can store your luggage at the hotel and explore some more. See you on the next trip!
