I had an amazing time on these two combined trips to Egypt and Ethiopia! Each day was packed with exciting activities, and the groups were full of fun, like-minded people who made the experience even better. Katharina was organized and knowledgeable, providing a great tour of Vienna. She was also incredibly accommodating and helpful, going above and beyond to meet several of my personal requests. This made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Her lovely personality is also reflected on her apartment, I'm sure other guests would appreciate her well-designed space.

We had a wonderful weekend all around. Katharina took care of everything and always made sure that everyone was included and that every wish was granted. 🤗

It was a wonderful experience to have Katharina show us her Vienna in winter. She’s very warm and welcoming and is great at catering to each person in her group, but she also gives us plenty of freedom. It was just a short trip, and there were no unforeseen issues that needed to be resolved, but based on what we experienced, I feel that even longer group trips with her can be a lot of fun, and that the activities will be tailored to suit everyone in the group as best as possible.

Kathi is a great trip leader. The trip was very well organized and Kathi took our individual needs into account, so that everyone got their money's worth. She is also very friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the short trip with the group and Kathi, so I can recommend her as a trip leader anytime. I would book another trip with Kathi anytime. Thank you!

Kathi is lovely, as was the trip. It was a fun experience that I will treasure for a long time. This was my first time trying JoinMyTrip, so I didn't really know what expect! I think the trip could have been planned better, especially the small but important stuff that you don't really think of at first - public transport, where to eat... things like that weren't really planned, meaning some people in the group had to pick up the slack when really I think a trip leader should at least come prepared with options or be more willing to look up things on the spot. I also thought communication could have been better as a whole; I like to know things in advance, but maybe that's just me. This lack of planning and communication led to discord in the group that I felt could have been avoided, leading to a dissatisfactory end to our week together. The trip as a whole felt a bit rushed, especially in Osaka and Kyoto. As for the accommodation, I thought the shared houses were good, but the capsule hotel in Tokyo was terrible for a group that came together to socialise. However, I still definitely enjoyed the trip overall.

Katherine is a friendly and open hearted person. The booked accommodations where OK. Some where decent some very low budget (even when the trip coasts werent) and most of them weren't very central located. The trip wastn very well planed. You maybe get a timetable with the locations at 10 pm for the Next day or even worse 8 am the same day. So planing dinner for example was very hard and you had to do this on your own because food is not really her priority. She also was very uninformed about the country itself and their customs. So we had very much to organise for ourselfs and this is not what i would call a "Guided trip" or "trip-leader". All at all there was a big lack of communication. If you want an easy travel compagnion she is perfectly fine. If you want a decent organized trip with time schedules and communication i would search somewhere else.

Before I decide to join JMT I expected to see different places, meet other cultures, have fun, etc. After the trip I can safely say that my expectations were met, plus I had the privilege to meet some of the coolest guys ever which I can call them friends. One of them, a genuine, extrovert, polite, smart and well organized person is creating some of the most interesting trips in JMT. Katharina Christalon, thank you for the memories.

This was my third trip with Kathi and I knew it would be great! She organised everything very well and kept the group informed if there were any changes. She is a super fun and easy-going individual and I always enjoy being her tripmate. :)

Katharina is amazing person and excellent trip leader. She is flexible and really make you comfortable in the trip. She arranges and plans the trip at the same time open to changes if anybody wants. The trip has been perfect in terms of planning and information about the places! Everything was totally alright and went well! Cool tripmates and everyone adjusting, she chose them well so that we can enjoy together! Had pleasant conversations with everyone and we all connected at good personal level and felt comfortable with each other.

This was my first time in Vienna and i did have an amazing experience thanks - Kathi was very flexible and friendly, The apartment we stayed at was very good too, really good vibes everywhere! Would definitely recommend Kathi as a Tripleader! I don't speak any German which I thought may be an issue while visiting but Kathi made sure to check that this would never be an issue - One of the tours we went on only had German tour guide and Kathi was kind enough to translate everything haha - very sweet and friendly person!

With the Faroe Islands, Kathi chose a destination with extraordinary scenery. A widespread strike threw our plans into disarray a bit, but the group worked together wonderfully to resolve the issue. The accommodations offered more than enough space for everyone. This was my second trip with Kathi, and I’ll definitely be joining her again someday!

With Katharina as our host, I was able to enjoy a unique week-long vacation in the Faroe Islands. Katharina had booked a spacious vacation rental for us, so everyone could have their own space. The daily, varied excursions allowed us to get to know the islands from different perspectives. Unfortunately, Katharina’s plans were thrown off a bit by a public sector strike. However, the group came up with excellent solutions for each day. I’ll cherish many wonderful memories, impressions, and new friendships from this trip. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for the Faroe Islands adventure. Best regards to Katharina and the great travel group!

The trip lead us to a special place. Even therefore the weather is not planable, we did great that we were flexible enough to face this situation. It was well organized and the spirit of the people was quite extraordinary, because we also had to manage a general strike of the whole country. At first I expected a local group leader or even a leader who is locally experienced. But that is not the idea of Kathis travels, she organizes her travel, so that every group member has to give an input to the groups experience.

The trip to Spitsbergen and the Faroe Islands was a wonderful experience. Katharina planned the trip very well from start to finish, and even when a public sector strike broke out in the Faroe Islands during the second half of the trip and we had to improvise, she worked with the Tripmates to find a great solution that allowed us to carry out almost everything that had been planned. Even before the trip began, Katharina made sure all the tripmates’ questions were answered and that all the necessary information for the trip was shared in a timely manner. Thanks to her open and friendly nature, we felt right at home from the start. During the trip, Katharina was considerate of all the Tripmates and made sure everyone felt included. We never felt pressured to do anything, and we could have easily taken some time away from the group to be on our own. The planned tours were a good mix of activity and relaxation. Even though we went on several boat tours, each one was different from the others, so it never felt repetitive. I can definitely see myself joining Katharina on another trip.

Kathi is super welcoming, easy-going and created an awesome once in a lifetime trip to Spitzbergen! I totally recommend going on a trip with her

The trip was well organised and prepared by Katharina. I can recommend joining a trip from Katharina to anyone! A feedback point would be to reserve a restaurant for a big group of people on the weekend. It is almost impossible to find a table spontaneously when you are with 10 people. Katharina organized a perfect long-weekend trip in Tallinn (Estonia) for us. It was a perfect mixture between sightseeing the Tallinn city and exploring the nature of Estonia. My second trip with Kathi was even better than my first trip with her, which is hard to imagine how that is even possible, as the first trip was near perfect. The organization was impeccable, the flexibility second to none, which can be a challenge when organizing a group trip with 12 people. Everything was seamless. As someone who usually travels alone, I was a little skeptical at first about whether this would work in such a large group, but my concerns were put to rest after just a short time. Even though everything moves a bit slower and is sometimes a little more chaotic, it was a great experience with the group. We were a diverse bunch, but we got along great and had a lot of fun. Kathi did a fantastic job, and the mix of participants was just right for me. The selection of travel destinations was really great, and overall, I have to say that the trip was very well organized. Kathi always looked out for the participants’ well-being and was always helpful when we had questions. I’d travel with Kathi and JMT again in a heartbeat.

Kathi was very welcoming and arranged to pick me up from the airport. We were a group of eight and did lots of activities together including cooking, quad biking and relaxing by the beach. I had a great time and would definitely recommend a trip with her - and would be interested in future ones.

Kathi did a great job. She booked an amazing house for co-living and chose the perfect time to visit Cyprus. Perfect weather and almost no tourists. We all enjoyed the workcation!

This was my first trip with JMT and my initial reservations in joining a trip full of strangers quickly went away once the trip started. Kathi did an amazing job as a trip leader by booking the BEST accommodation for our week in Cyprus, and her friendly and warm demeanor was instrumental in making sure everyone felt at home during the trip. 2 amazing co-working weeks with great people in the best apartment in Dubai!

A fun time in Dubai!

First of all, I’m so happy I went on a trip with JMT! I met some really warm, wonderful, and open-minded people. Strangers became friends. As for the trip itself, though, I was hoping for more. Katharina is really sweet, but everything could have been better organized. If you had questions about a planned activity, you could ask them, but you didn’t get any useful information. Unfortunately, Katharina herself didn’t really know much about the booked activities. The description says that transportation is included, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Once we arrived, we decided against a planned excursion. We weren’t told what would happen to the money set aside for it. When we asked for a breakdown of our expenses, we were only referred to the items listed in the trip description. I also would have hoped for a welcome from the trip leader upon arrival. After landing, we drove to the hotel and weren’t met or greeted by her. I can imagine that when you’re in one place for an extended period and constantly meeting new people, you don’t have to—or want to—participate in every activity. However, you do hope for a little more information and organization. Katharina brought us together as a group (which I’m really glad about), but it didn’t seem like she was interested in getting to know us or learning about us either. My takeaway from the trip is that I can truly recommend to everyone that you go on vacation with strangers! I would travel with JMT again in a heartbeat and hope for a little more organization and information on future trips.

The trip to Sweden with Kathi was great! She is a very friendly, helpful and empathetic person who made sure that everybody had a wonderful time and could enjoy the trip to the fullest. Besides the unforgettable Sled Dog Tour itself, Kathi made sure that everything was planned perfectly, from the accomodation to our stops on the way. I would definitely join another trip with her.

Katharina is out straight a 10-on-10 trip-leader, a sure shot to the game. A welcoming, warmth full, respectful, well-organized, informed and friendliest person, you’ll be kept surprised with her tasteful places to stay either in woods of nature or in the center of a city. Her knowledge gained through years of experience in travelling round the world, meeting ‘n’ number of people, exploration of new places will not go unnoticed. She is a very considerate person, noticing either the small or big interests of her trip-mates and gets you there. I for myself and our group have kept our pace yet relax fully enjoying the trip, engaging conversations and travelling like a group of friends. An unfiltered, charming, smart, knowledgeable, kind and dynamic person. Looking forward to another one.

It was a fantastic week in Jordan! Kathi did a great job organizing everything, from the accommodation to the transport and the individual tours. There was also enough flexibility so that we were able to make a spontaneous stop at the Dead Sea, for example.

Even if kathy was not able to come because of unfortunate reason , the trip was very well organised. we did not have any problem in continuing with the plan. it was a good surprize gift from her to all of us for a food tour. which very nice. we all enjoyed it a lot. all the communication was well maintained .

Katharina’s trip to Jordan comes highly recommended! You’ll get plenty of insight into Jordan’s cuisine, culture, and traditions—and, of course, its unique landscape—with, for example, an overnight stay in the desert (Wadi Rum) or visits to famous destinations like Petra and the Dead Sea. The trip was very varied, and the activities were never scheduled too close together, so we had plenty of breaks in between, could fit in spontaneous activities, and were able to enjoy everything without any stress. All in all, it was a superbly organized trip with cool and very entertaining travel companions (special thanks to Micha 😉).

Working by the swimming pool, lunch break on the beach, after-work gin and tonic, excursions after work and at the weekend ... It was a perfect 2 weeks in Cyprus, with great people and a brilliant location. Many thanks to Kathi!

It was my first join my trip experience and it was wonderful. Katharina was very Sweet and energetic trip leader . From the start she was good in answering all the questions , doughts I had . Communication was good and well organized. There was enough freedom to do own things and also good group activities.

I had my first and amazing join my trip experience with Khathy. She knew her way around and organized the trip well and also allowed some level of flexibility to accommodate, the groups´sometimes differing needs. All in all it was a great experience and the trip ended up being very very cost effective. I hope to share further travel experiences with her.

Katharina is nice. However, the trip wasn't really what I expected organization-wise. In my opinion, the choice of activities could have been better, especially the day trip to Hatta was one I wouldn't have done if I had all the information from Katharina. But one thing I loved was the yacht afternoon, which is something you can't do when you travel alone. The hotel wasn't the best choice either. I found it a pity that she wasn't there for, for example, the group's last night - indeed, I often haven't seen her. I loved the destination and everything I chose to do besides Katharina's program, but there was a lot of planning and research to do when you did want to experience a lot more (and the most important things in this city, in my opinion) even though this should have been her part. Altogether, I felt the group wasn't being informed properly and I would have wished for a better organization.

Wherever you go, it doesn't matter, because you always have fun on your travels.

I had a great time with our group; we saw a lot and had some unique experiences. I'm looking forward to more trips with Katharina!

Hi everyone, I’m Niklas from Switzerland. This is my first time traveling with JMT, and I’m so incredibly glad I joined one of Kathi’s trips. Kathi planned and organized everything perfectly, and we got to experience so much. Even so, we still had time to explore places on our own or do other things. The accommodations were simply amazing—we were able to spend a lot of time together as a group, and some really great friendships were formed. This was truly the best trip of my life, and I’d travel with Kathi again in a heartbeat. Finally, I just want to say thank you <3 and recommend that everyone join one of Kathi’s trips at least once 🥳

The week in Dubai exceeded all my expectations! We did so much and stayed in a breathtaking apartment with a great group of people.

Kathi organized an amazing and adventurous trip through two "challenging" countries—Senegal and Gambia. She can't be blamed for the power outages at the hotel, flat tires, or stoned locals :)

Kathi is the best tour guide I've ever had!!! Her trips are incredibly well-organized; she's shown me breathtaking places, she makes sure everyone in the group feels included, and she's always open to cultural experiences. I’ve laughed so much with her, learned a lot from her, and always felt safe around her. I recommend that everyone join her on her adventures and create such wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

It was a great experience! Kathi is a professional, it was all so well organized, structured & she knew exactly what she was doing. It was a lot of fun. The trip to Morocco was my first trip with Kathi, and it really couldn't have gone any better. -Great planning -A fantastic group -Perfect organization -It really doesn't get any cheaper than this I highly recommend letting one of the best trip leaders/travel companions guide you through Morocco or explore other parts of the world together! Hopefully we’ll see each other again soon for new adventures :)

I went on the trip to Morocco and really enjoyed it. Everything was well-organized and varied. The trip mates were super nice; we hit it off right away and had a great time together. Morocco is also a beautiful country, and because the trip was so varied, we got to explore many different places (coastal towns, mountains, the desert, etc.). The locals were also very friendly. I highly recommend it to everyone! #TeamKathi

I’d love to give this 6 out of 5 stars. You can tell that she doesn’t just start thinking about what we might experience there the day before—she actively engages with the country and city. She has an exceptional knack for selecting travel companions who are a good fit for one another. As a person, she’s completely unique (in a positive way). Anytime, anywhere—I’d be there.

Katharina is very friendly and flexible. Her itinerary included just the right balance of planned activities and free time. She organized the trip in a very structured and helpful way. Maybe next time we’ll go to Morocco with her :)

sooo I have been traveling with Kathi for a total of 5 weeks and would travel with her again anytime. Definitely one of the best Travelmasters and one of the coolest Travelbuddies. 6 stars out of 5 :)

The trip to Kiev was my first and so far only trip here. It was a great experience and I can only recommend anyone to travel with Kathi. She was very well informed, showed us around and everything went really well, no matter what! :)

Kathi was/is a likable person and an excellent organizer. She not only gave us a comprehensive overview of Marrakech, the desert, and other sights, but also introduced us to the enchanting landscapes of these regions, in addition to their art and culture. Also worth mentioning is the great hostel, which delighted us after every day of sightseeing with its lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and a special culinary treat in the mornings. The group that took part in this trip was also made up of very kind and caring people. And I’d like to send a warm greeting to everyone here. This was my first trip with Kathi to Morocco. I had the most amazing time, Kathi took care of everything locally and made everyone feel welcome. I especially liked how Kathi introduced us to her local friends and favorite places.

It was definitely a great trip! As always, communication naturally depends on the group as a whole, but there’s no doubt that you’ve found a great conversation partner and travel companion in Katharina! Have fun on your next trip :D
