Climbing Ararat (5165m) - Eastern Anatolia - Hiking & Cultural Tour

When you think of Turkey, you usually think of sun, beaches and Antalya. But this country has much more to offer for mountaineers. Due to different climatic conditions, a fascinating and almost deserted mountain world has formed in the east of Anatolia, which fascinates mountaineers. The 5165m high Ararat, an extinct volcano thousands of years old and also the highest mountain in Turkey, is the landmark of the region and the destination of our tour. A technically easy, but nevertheless demanding high altitude tour and thus an ideal beginner high altitude tour. To increase the chances of reaching the summit, we acclimatize beforehand in the mountain region around Lake Van and climb Nemrut and Süphan before standing on the top of the highest mountain in Turkey and enjoying the view of the vastness of Anatolia all the way to Armenia and Iran.
