About me! Hello! I am Lorii, a Matchmaker and NLP Practitioner. I enjoy nature, travel, music, arts and books. Outdoors is fascinating for me. I have tried everything which you can probably do in a tropical country...hiking, camping, scuba diving, skydiving, sailing, parasailing...but I am no good in any of them. :o) I like exploring the city, meeting people, seeing foreign films, volunteering, hanging out with friends, ethnic dining and trying new things. Way beyond the average American, I have visited 28 states and still counting. I have traveled in 46 countries. If you would count Epcot, probably I can say that I have traveled all over the world. I have lived in New York and New Jersey for 8 years. Now living in Chicago for 17 years. I am easy going, interested in new things and love exploring. I am eager to lead a group of women who have the same perspective, respectful and enthusiastic.

Trip Itinerary
1

Chocobar Cortés

Day 1
Start your your adventure with a trip to Chocobar Cortes, a chocolate lover's paradise. Chocobar Cortés is a new and innovative gastronomic space where chocolate is the main star. Come and enjoy a varied selection of food and beverages.
2

La Factoría

Day 1-2
La Factoría might have poured fuel on Puerto Rico’s contemporary cocktail scene when it opened in San Juan in 2013, but inside the charming-yet-gritty bar feels as though it’s been around for centuries. The sprawling building hosts a surprising labyrinth of six drinking dens in total, each with different menus and themes catering to guests looking for a slightly different experience. The main bar, El Facto, gives way to other spaces like the wine-focused Vino, the intimate El Desvío, or dance-friendly Shing A’Ling. Cuban-inspired cocktails take centre stage at La Cubanita, and El Final offers a smaller setting for eclectic tastes. The tie that binds each one together is a dishevelled-chic theme that weaves throughout the decor and outstanding cocktails made to showcase Puerto Rican sensibilities conjured up by celebrated bartender (and co-founder) Roberto Berdecia. Whether you’re seeking a night of festive dancing over Lavender Mules with friends, or a quiet contemplative cocktail for date night, this San Juan bar is a must. La Factoría is again named The Best Bar in the Caribbean 2023, sponsored by Scrappy's Bitters. It is No.24 in North America's 50 Best Bars 2023.
3

Viejo San Juan

Day 2
Begin our day with a captivating free walking tour of Old San Juan. Stroll through the cobblestone streets, marvel at colorful colonial buildings, and learn about the rich history of the city from knowledgeable local guides.
4

La Vergüenza Viejo San Juan

Day 2
For lunch, head to La Verguenza rooftop. Here, you can savor delicious Puerto Rican cuisine while enjoying breathtaking views of the city. The La Vergüenza menu includes everything from sliders and tacos to more filling Puerto Rican and Caribbean dishes. From the bar you can order refreshing and crafted cocktails, as well as local and international beers.
5

Condado Beach

Day 2-3
Lined with swanky resorts and high-rise hotels, this large beach is a popular spot in San Juan, loved for its vibrant scene, lively dining, and endless array of things to do. While swimming isn't encouraged (powerful rip tides are common here), you can still lounge by the beach and watch surfers, boogie boarders, and parasailers ride the currents.
6

El Yunque National Forest

Day 3-4
El Yunque is the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System but it is also a sacred place in Puerto Rican culture. Many believe its name comes from the Taíno word Yuke, or "white earth," a reference to the clouds that gather around the forest's mountainous peak; others believe it derives from Yúcahu, the Taíno deity of fertility. Today, this national treasure is an excellent destination if you want to immerse yourself in nature. Here's a look at some of the top things to see and do in El Yunque, from bathing in natural pools beneath waterfalls to taking in the gorgeous scenery from its many hiking trails.
