Lorri did an amazing job organizing a long weekend exploration of Chicago for a small group of strangers, now friends. This was my first “Join My Trip” adventure. I almost chickened out, but Lori made me feel at ease. Our pre-travel group zoom call sealed the deal. I was able to meet other guest and fear quickly changed to excitement. I celebrated my 43rd birthday on this trip. Lorii went the extra mile planning a birthday dinner and entertainment that was lively and unique to Chicago. She organized a variety of events from walking tours, boat rides, site seeing, dining, drinks and belly dancing. It was completely flexible and if you wanted to depart from the group and join back later, it was completely allowed. I am an art nerd, so I chose to go to the Art Institute one afternoon. Lorri made sure all people felt comfortable. One of our travel companions was recovering from medical treatment and needed to rest more at times. We all supported each other and broke off into subgroups as needed. Lorii’s flexible nature and general kindness set the tone for the trip. I hope to travel with Lorii again in Chicago or even other adventures. I highly recommend this trip, especially as a single female.
