What can I say... It was an amazing trip! Luke is incredibly open-minded, nice and helpful. Although two trip mates cancelled at short notice, he did a perfect job organising everything and was still very flexible, so that we were able to arrange the trip according to my wishes: For example, as I had already been to Cape Town a few days before and had seen quite a lot, we shortened our time there so that we had more days for the Garden Route. It was wonderful to travel with a local who knows so many cool spots! It was also great to just spend time with Luke, whether it was hiking, snorkelling with seals, kayaking, going on a safari or having dinner and drinks with him and his wonderful girlfriend in the evening. I can only recommend this trip! It was such an awesome time and I look forward to welcome you to Germany one day, Luke! β™₯️

Trip Itinerary
1

Cape Town

Day 1-5
This is the start line of our trip where we will meet and get to know each other, and venture out to do all the best top things Cape Town has to offer. Over these days we will: - Hike one of the seven wonders of the world; Table Mountain, and walk back down or those who want to take the Cable Car down can do so - Spot the African Penguins at Boulders Beach, get a Instagram worthy picture and eat a good ol' fish & chips - Hike Lions Head for the spectacular panorama views and enjoy a wholesome brekkie - Experience the trendy, hip-and-happening markets of Cape Town and explore The V&A Waterfront - Drink a glass of the best wine in the world at the oldest wineland in Caoe Town
2

Wilderness

Day 5-6
I am especially excited about these upcoming days because this is where I grew up and call me bias but this is one of the most scenic routes in South Africa, known as The Garden Route. The Garden Route is where lush forests and pristine beaches collide. What we will do and see in Wilderness: - Kayak up Kaaimans River to a hidden waterfall - Hike the easy Kingfisher Trail and end up swimming in rock pools - Experience the laid back, surfer vibes of the town
3

Plettenberg Bay

Day 6-9
OK! Here we have reached the best part of the whole trip, my home town, Plettenberg Bay. I don't want to say too much, because well, you have to see it for yourself! Here we will: - Hike Robberg Nature Reserve - Kayak Trip up the Bitou Lagoon - Beach hopping on Award-winning and Blue Flag Beaches - Sundowners at Arch Rock and dolphin spotting at Enrico's - Swim with seals - Drive through the fairy-like, ancient, dense forest of Nature's Valley - Bungee Jump off the highest suspension bridge in the world (for those who dare!)
4

Jeffreys Bay

Day 9-10
Jeffreys Bay is home to the famous surf spot; Super Tubes and is the hub of surfer land. From beginners to pro's there is a wave for everyone. JBay things we will do: - Grab a surfboard and go for it! - Just chill like a surfer at the backpackers - Have a drink and a good meal at one of the many bars, cafes and restaurants - Soak in the surfing and skate-boarding community at The Surf Village
5

Addo Elephant National Park

Day 10-11
Addo Elephant Park is home to over 600 wild African elephants. What is great about this park is I will drive you through it and we can go at our own pace and get the best Elephant experience this way. What we will do: - Self-drive game drive - We can get out and enjoy a picnic near a water hole - Spot warthogs (Pumba from the Lion King), zebra, springbok and if lucky, lions Here marks the end of our incredible trip where we will say our good byes in Gqeberha and I will drop off those who are going to the airport at Port Elizabeth Airport.
