Update: Trip currently has 4 crew member/guest, a girl and a couple who have not booked via JMT but directly with me, so we have space for 2 more people :-) We will sail together with our yacht from island to island and bay to bay onboard my yacht that has just completed a sail around the world and is equipped with many nice toys like a SUP and a watermaker that makes life on the sea comfortable and chill. We will do a good mix of swimming around the boat in anchorages, visiting 1-2 island towns and explore there, visiting beach bars and Tavernas and maybe take a scooter to drive around an island. We will pool about 200 Euros per person at the start of the trip for the "crew kitty" to get food and drinks for the week and for marina fees and for re-fueling the boat at the end of the trip. I also offer trips on other dates than the ones you see here / on my JoinMyTrip profile as JMT only allows to offer 2 trips per month. If you are interested to sail on another date just leave a comment. Understand: I own the boat, so there is no "minimum trip mates participation number" as with many other JoinMyTrip trips, as the boat will sail in any case. If less people book you have the advantage of not having to share your cabin (usually with another solo traveler of the same sex), if more people book you have the advantage of more fun company :-) Also: JoinMyTrip is not the only community where I advertise my trips, I also have an already existing followership via Facebook, Instagram etc. who have already booked slots on trips with me, so usually, a trip is already more "full" than it appears here, so: dont hesitate to book simply because it looks "not many people are on board yet", they are :-) Also important: Belows schedule apart from start and end date and port is just one possible scenario for the week - we have to and will adjust it according to crew wishes and crew ability and other factors like weather and seamanship. When booking you accept the FAQs and general conditions on my blog - ask me about them before booking.
About Me! I am a 37-year-old German journalist who quit his job to sail around the world. I have also worked as a yacht skipper as a side job for 10+ years. I have also a masters degree in Political Science and Sociology. I am easygoing and uncomplicated as a person.
The boat has 4 double cabins. You share your cabin usually with another crew member of the same sex unless you want it differently. We also have 2 mattresses to sleep on deck and 2 hammocks. We have two bathrooms. In the middle of the boat is the salon with kitchen and big table with sofa area to hang out, cook and eat. Any questions about the trip? You can let me know in the Q&A section!

Unfortunately this trip has commenced or been completed already. But don't worry! We have a lot more similar trips that you could check out.
The sailing trip was a very special and enriching experience for me. I was able to gather many new impressions, discover beautiful places and experience sailing up close. I particularly remember the adventures in the bays, such as swimming at dawn to Voidokilia beach and the subsequent rocky climb to Palaiókastro, where we watched the sunrise. Sailing at night during the Perseid rain was also magical. The night swim with the fairy lights was particularly fun. I was able to enjoy many beautiful sunrises from the deck of the boat. I also enjoyed snorkeling and exploring the caves at Antipaxos. It was nice to be able to actively help out, from steering the boat to helping with the rigging. This made me even more interested in sailing. The moments when the skipper sang sea shanties were a particular highlight, creating an epic atmosphere on board together with the crew. But there were also moments that were challenging for me at first. As I had no sailing experience, I felt a little excluded and useless at the beginning, while the experienced passengers were already actively involved. It was only after an intensive discussion with the skipper that I felt like I was really part of the crew, and from then on it was exciting and enriching for me too. Unfortunately, we weren't able to sail to all the planned stops and there were unscheduled 25-hour trips with night sailing. For the future, I would like to see a slightly better flow of information, e.g. a small meeting in the morning to discuss what is on the agenda for the day and who is taking on which tasks, as well as a joint feedback session in the evening. This would not only make organization easier, but would also strengthen the sense of community even more. Nevertheless, the positives outweigh the negatives for me: I learned an incredible amount, made wonderful memories and discovered a new passion for sailing. I would definitely travel with the Freespirit again, preferably with Moritz on board, who some of my fellow passengers already knew from previous trips and whose personality and manner were highly praised. Next time, I would certainly bring a few of my friends with me, with whom I would like to share the experiences.
At the beginning of our trip we will start in and anchor near to Korfu town. We will first get some food for the whole week and then have an introduction to the boat and a safety briefing. Via the boats dinghy we will get to land and explore the old town, its bars and tavernas. The view of the old town from the anchorage is also quite nice.
2
Lakka
Day 2-3
South of Korfu, we will also stop in this impressive bay with picture perfect blue water, framed by the green shore, its an almost perfect natural harbor. Besides swimming around the boat, we might also explore a bit on shore.
3
Antipaxos
Day 3-4
If we have time, we will explore one of the charming bays with its azure blue waters that the island of Antipaxos offers. That will mean a lot of time to swim around the boat and to the beach and maybe explore a bit on shore too. In the evening we cook together on the boat after some sundowner drinks and then watch the stars when chilling on deck after dinner.
4
Agia Mavra Fort
Day 4-5
The pier at the swinging bridge of Lefkada is one of these magical Greek places. On one side you have the ruins of an old fort, on the other a long beach to watch the sunset from and then walk back to the safely docked boat, and in the middle: A lot of boat traffic to watch as it goes when the swinging bridge opens every hour. A really interesting place. The next day we will sail along the majestic white cliffs of western Lefkada.
5
Ithaca
Day 5-6
The island of Odysseus has green hills and charming bays and 1-2 small harbor towns where we can dock. After a long sail past the majestic cliffs of Lefkada, we will recharge our batteries here - and maybe learn a bit about the islands history and its most famous son over a drink :-)
6
Skala Beach
Day 6-7
On the southeast side of Kefallonia, this beach has nice long beach bars to check out after arriving and crystal clear water to swim around the boat. There are other anchorages nearby, so we have alternatives and can make a swimming stop on the way coming south from Ithaka.
7
Navagio Beach Viewpoint
Day 7-8
Navagio Bay with its famous cliffs and beach is now closed to the public but with a yacht you can still drive into the bay to take a look. Or dock in the charming harbor of Agios Nikolaos in the northeast of Zakynthos and take a scooter to see the famous bay - and some more of the island.
