Hi guys, my name is Janina (aka Gin)!🌞 This summer I‘m going to work in Florida, next to Orlando. Afterwards I want to travel there for about a month. I‘d like to see especially the cities and beaches on the east coast as I personally think they’re the most beautiful spots to travel along. I will start at the most southern place at Key West and take the beautiful oversea highways to Miami. Next spot would be Orlando, afterwards Jacksonville and also Savannah in Georgia and Charleston in South Carolina (both cities are to beautiful to skip). Those are just the spots I would like to have my Airbnb apartments/rooms. I definitely also want to go to other spots from there, mostly by bus or train. I.e. While living in Miami I also would like to drive to more northern points like Fort Lauderdale (absolutely stunning) and West Palm Beach (must seen) and may have a day trip to the Bahamas 🇧🇸 . I‘ve already collected many things on my bucket list that contains activities I want to do that aren’t always just touristic sightseeing, as I also would like to „live“ in those places as many as possible and get to know the spirit of the people there. Of course I want to make sure that our plans would fit and we can experience the things you want to do. (if not I’m full of ideas ¡). I‘m flexible. Feel free to just hit me up even though you just want to ask some questions. Hope to c u, Gin 🍸
plan: spending five nights in a Backpackers hostel activities/spots i.e: New Orleans is one of my favorite spots so far, it‘s amazing. I‘ll go to the beautiful French Quarter and Bourbon Street where there are beautiful spots around every corner and one of the best pups in the world. There’s always something to celebrate and a lot of people on the streets by night. I would visit the big Aquarium of America’s, the Bourbon Zoo, the national World war 2 Museum, the cute city park, go shopping in one of the cute and typical local halls. By the end of August, the time I plan to stay in New Orleans there are also pride parades the so called Southern Decadence, it‘s fun to watch and join, there are many activities by day and night and the streets are filled with celebrating easy going people. The hostel I‘ll stay is known for bringing mostly young travelers from all over the world together and having social events (aka party’s and pre drinking games every night).
plan: spending nine nights in a cute airbnb apartment/loft. activities/spots i.e: Art Decó District (Ocean Drive, Collins Avenue), Downtown, Wynwood, Little Havana, Lincoln Road Mall, Bass Museumof Art, going to the beaches, doing fun things by night life like bar hopping or watching free shows at famous beaches/parks etc. . also: on august the 5th there’s green day having a concert right in Miami and I would loooove to go there! (60$ one ticket) Also: My plan includes to go to the moist southern point of Florida: Key West - the bridges overseas are absolutely stunning and also in Key West there are fun things to do. If time it would also be amazing to go to the Bahamas as a one day trip as a boat trip doesn’t take this long to the Bahamas.
plan: spending two nights in a cute airbnb apartment/ hotel room ( hotels are far more expensive there ). doing nice bike trips as you can reach everything by bike. activities/spots i.e: watching the sunset at Mallory Square, Cemetery (if u don’t know the cemetery there it’s worth googeling, hilarious), Southern most point, Hemingway museum, historic seven mile bridge that goes overseas by bike.
plan: spending four nights in a one of a kind airbnb. activities/spots i.e: Charleston is absolutely beautiful, I don‘t have fixed plans yet but I would like to just go there and enjoy the spirit of the City as a little time off, to relax, living there as many as possible in a short time. But anyways I’ll look out for some spots/attractions or events soon.
plan: spending six nights in a cute airbnb room. activities/spots i.e: (Orlando is a spot full of entertainment) the Universal studios Florida and its amazing movie sceneries is a must have been place and I would spend there at least one day, having lunch/dinner in beautiful winter park/ maybe have a boat trip over the Osceola lake, also a day in Disney World would be nice. At night I would go to the so called City Walk - a district with nice restaurants, clubs and some kind of Las Vegas shows. I would like to go to the amazing Speedway 500, have to check if there’s a race by that time. And last but not least I‘ll definitely go to the Kennedy Space Center as this one‘s attracts me the most.
