We will spend a few wonderful days in the cities of Vilnius (Lithuania) and Riga (Latvia). However, we will also leave the cities to explore the beautiful nature surrounding the cities and relax there. This tour is a mixture of city trip and nature experience! You can read about the individual activities in the tour details. As a group, we will spend a lot of time together and also go out to eat together. Nevertheless, there will still be time to pursue individual interests. For example, there are numerous museums and other sights in both cities. Furthermore, the nightlife offers a lot, whether dancing or cocktail bars, everything can be found. The actual price depends on the number of participants and the desired accommodation. We can clarify more details bilaterally. In view of Corona, I will only make the corresponding bookings at relatively short notice. Arrival in Riga Get to know the city and the country. We look at important and beautiful sights in the city. Afterwards we visit the open-air museum, which offers many buildings (including houses) from Latvian history. We learn more about the way of life in the past centuries.

Day 2-3
We hike in the second largest national park in the country - a real adventure. In addition to beautiful nature, there is also a moorland area, which can be accessed via a boardwalk. In addition to a small historic church, there is plenty of nature to discover. .

Gauja National Park
Day 3-4
Today we are heading to the country's largest national park. In addition to marveling at the breathtaking nature while hiking, we will visit Turaida Castle. The castle is one of the most important historical sites in the country.

Trakai
Day 5-6
We take a trip to a castle complex in Trakai and visit the castle. The Flemish knight Ghillbert de Lanois (Lanua) characterized the island castle from 1414 in his travel descriptions as follows: the castle stands in the middle of the lake, one cannon shot from the old castle. It was a masonry structure built according to French tradition. The castle stood 220 meters from the shore. We then take a walk around the castle grounds before going to a restaurant either there or later in Vilnius.

Open-air Museum of the Centre of Europe
Day 6-7
Excursion to the geographical center of Europe in the "Europos Parkas". This is a sculpture park that includes international and contemporary sculpture, conceptual and installation art. The 50-hectare sculpture park was founded by the Lithuanian sculptor Gintaras Karosas in 1991. The sculpture park gained international renown primarily through the works of the US installation artist Dennis Oppenheim. Since 1999, a sculpture symposium and other cultural events (such as Poetry Spring, artists' meetings and conferences) have been held every year.
