Day 1-2
Meeting at the airport , transfer to hotel . In the evening we meet in a restaurant for dinner with national show (optional ) , to get to know each other and discuss the details for the next days . pleasae note check in time in hotel is 14:00.

Khor Virap

Day 2
1 h drive to Khor virap monastery, withe the great view to mount bibilical mount Ararat . Khor Virap is a monastery and pilgrimage site located in the Ararat plain in Armenia, near the border with Turkey. It is known for its deep historical and religious significance, as it is believed to be the site where Saint Gregory the Illuminator, the patron saint of the Armenian Church, was imprisoned in a pit for 13 years before curing King Tiridates III of Armenia of an illness.

Noravank Monastery

Day 2-3
Noravank Monastery is a 13th-century Armenian monastery located in a narrow gorge of the Amaghu River in the Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia. The monastery complex is known for its intricate architecture, including decorative motifs and intricate carvings on the exterior walls. The journey to the Urbex site will take us through the stunning landscapes and scenery of Vayots dzor province, known for its rugged mountains and picturesque valleys. Once we arrive at the site, we will have the opportunity to explore the abandoned building or structure and capture its beauty through our cameras. we will have lunch in a gastro yard with wine tasting then drive to visit an abendoned factory for photography. Overnight In Yeghegis village.

The Orbelian Caravanserai is a historic caravanserai located on the Silk Road in the Vayots Dzor Province of Armenia. It was built in the 14th century by the Orbelian princes, who were known for their wealth and influence in medieval Armenia.The caravanserai served as a resting place for traders and their animals who traveled along the Silk Road.

Sevanavank

Day 3
Sevanavank monastery is a medieval Armenian monastic complex located on the northwestern shore of Lake Sevan, in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia. The monastery was built in the 9th century and consists of two churches, a courtyard, and several khachkars (Armenian cross-stones). It is an important pilgrimage site for Armenian Christians and is renowned for its beautiful location overlooking Lake Sevan, the largest lake in Armenia and one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world. We will visit another urbex location for phototour (45 min)

Day 3-4
Haghpatvillage and monastery . Monastery is a medieval monastic complex located in the Lori Province of northern Armenia. It was built between the 10th and 13th centuries and is known for its unique architecture .The monastery consists of several buildings, including the main church, St. Nishan, which is adorned with intricate carvings and frescoes. Other notable structures include a bell tower, a library, and several chapels. Haghpat Monastery was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996 for its cultural and historical significance, as well as its impressive architecture. It remains an important pilgrimage site and tourist attraction in Armenia. Overnight and dinner in the village.

Mikoyan Brothers Museum

Day 4-5
The Mikoyan Brothers Museum is located in the village of Sanahin, Armenia, and is dedicated to the legacy of two prominent Soviet politicians, Anastas Mikoyan and his younger brother Artem Mikoyan, who were born in the region. The museum features a collection of personal belongings, photographs, and documents related to the brothers' lives, as well as exhibits showcasing their contributions to Soviet politics and aviation. Anastas Mikoyan was a close ally of Soviet leaders Joseph Stalin and Nikita Khrushchev and played a key role in the country's political landscape during the 20th century. Artem Mikoyan was a renowned aircraft designer and co-founder of the MiG fighter jet series, which became synonymous with Soviet air power during the Cold War.The Mikoyan Brothers Museum is a fascinating destination for history buffs and aviation enthusiasts alike, offering a glimpse into the lives of two influential figures in Soviet history. Vanadzor

Day 5
Vanadzor is the third-largest city in Armenia, located in the Lori Province in the northern part of the country. The city is situated on the banks of the Pambak River and surrounded by the picturesque hills of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains. It is a hub of cultural and economic activity in the region, with a rich history dating back to the 19th century. Vanadzor is known for its beautiful parks, including the Vanadzor Botanical Garden, and its impressive array of museums and galleries, such as the Vanadzor Fine Arts Museum and the Museum of Lori. The city is also a popular destination for lovers of Soviet heritage and urbex explorers. Soviet pioneer camps were summer camps for children in the former Soviet Union, which were established to promote socialist ideology, physical fitness, and love for the Motherland. The camps were typically held in remote, picturesque locations, and included a range of activities such as sports, arts and crafts, camping, and educational programs. Children aged 9 to 15 were eligible to attend, and attendance was often considered a privilege. The camps were heavily subsidized by the government, and aimed to provide a healthy and fun environment for children to develop physically, intellectually, and socially, while instilling a sense of patriotism and Soviet values. Amberd

Day 5-6
Amberd is a medieval fortress located in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia, situated at an elevation of 2,300 meters above sea level. The fortress was built during the 7th century by the Armenian nobleman Vahan Mamikonian and was subsequently rebuilt and expanded over the centuries. It served as a strategic military stronghold during the Arab invasions of Armenia and later during the Seljuk and Mongol invasions. The fortress also housed a church, which was built in the 11th century and is now a popular tourist attraction. The site offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Armenia.

Tegher

Day 6-7
Tegher Monastery is a medieval Armenian monastery located on a hilltop in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. The monastery dates back to the 13th century and was known for its beautiful architecture and religious significance. Despite being damaged over time, the monastery still contains several well-preserved structures including a church, chapel, and various khachkars (Armenian cross-stones). The monastery also played a significant role in Armenian history, serving as a center for education and culture during its heyday. Today, Tegher Monastery remains an important cultural and religious site in Armenia and attracts visitors from all over the world.

Garni

Day 7
The first stop is Garni, a Pagan Temple referred to as the well known symbol of pre-Christian Armenia that was converted into a royal summer house. The Symphony of the stones , is a real wonder of nature , which we can visit in the Gani gorge. After Garni we will visit the UNESCO listed Geghard Monastery Complex. Some of the churches are situated in caves, whilst others are dug out of the surrounding rock face. You will then be transferred back to Yerevan.
