You can easily reach the first stop of the trip (Ficulle) with a train from Rome to Fabro-Ficulle train station. I will then pick you up with the car. ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION: Our wonderful B&B, surrounded by green hills, is located in Ficulle, a characteristic Middle-Age village about 40 km southwest of Perugia. To visit in Ficulle: - Walls and Rocca (fortress) - Castello della Sala - Medieval borough - Church of Santa Maria Vecchia (early 13th century) - Abbey of S. Niccolò al Monte Orvietano - Sanctuary of Madonna della Maestà - Amazing typical restaurants

Val d'Orcia
Day 5
A day trip to Val d'Orcia in Tuscany that offers a breathtaking experience of rolling hills, charming villages, and picturesque landscapes. We will visit: 1. Pienza, known for its Renaissance architecture and delicious pecorino cheese. Take a stroll through the narrow streets, visit the Pienza Cathedral, and enjoy panoramic views from the town walls. 2. Montalcino, famous for its Brunello di Montalcino wine. Explore the ancient fortress, sample local wines at the wineries, and indulge in Tuscan cuisine at the quaint trattorias. 3. Bagno Vignoni, this unique village is known for its thermal baths and the charming central square that is actually a large thermal pool. Relax and take in the picturesque surroundings.

Orvieto is a city with a significant cultural heritage, fascinating traditions, and an exciting lifestyle. Discover this medieval Umbrian city and its world-famous “wonders“: - The Duomo (entrance included in the price) - Torre del Moro viewpoint (entrance included in the price) - The whole ancient town center is filled with narrow streets, beautiful churches, historic palace - The Saint Patrick’s Well - The suggestive underground life: a maze of tunnels and caves. And besides the historic center, it is no less interesting the surroundings of Orvieto, a large area lying between the borders of Lazio and Tuscany Italian regions alternating green hills cultivated with olive trees and vineyards, unspoiled countryside with many typical villages, boroughs and unusual places to visit.

Here you can expect an unforgettable experience, that will take place on Sunday 20th, filled with excitement, cultural immersion, and the joyous celebration of this vibrant Italian tradition. The Palio dei Terzieri is a vibrant and thrilling festival held in Città della Pieve, a charming town located in the province of Perugia, Italy. This historic event dates back to the 17th century and celebrates the three ancient neighborhoods, known as "Terzieri," that make up the town: Borgo Dentro, Casalino, and Castello. Leading up to the race, there are parades, flag-waving ceremonies, and historical reenactments that showcase the rich cultural heritage of Città della Pieve. The entire town participates in the festivities, with locals dressed in medieval attire, musicians playing traditional instruments, and artisans showcasing their crafts.
