What's special?
back in time to the Soviet atmosphere
Details about this trip
- Moldova and Transnistria are two hidden corners of Eastern Europe that seem frozen in another era. Between rolling vineyards, Orthodox monasteries and wide Soviet-style avenues, every stop tells a story — sometimes melancholic, sometimes full of charm. We’ll explore the legendary underground cellars of Cricova, taste local wines straight from the barrels, wander through Chisinau, a city that perfectly mixes nostalgia and modern life. And then we’ll cross an invisible border to reach Transnistria, a self-proclaimed republic that officially “doesn’t exist”, where Lenin statues, vintage Ladas, and red flags still paint the streets of Tiraspol. It’s a journey back in time — authentic, curious, and unexpected — for true travelers, not tourists. Join me for an adventure made of history, people, and stories that only a place like this can tell.

- I know very well the two places and this tour will take us beyond borders, between monasteries, Soviet memories, and local traditions. What I expect? Authentic encounters, great conversations, and that feeling of discovery that only true travel can give!

- We’ll stay in a mix of comfortable hotels and cozy hostels, carefully selected for their cleanliness, character, and central location. Expect simple but welcoming shared rooms, and above all an authentic atmosphere that reflects the local spirit in Transnistria. NB: the accommodations in Transnistria don't offer the breakfast.
