This trip is for you ifโฆ you like real days outdoors, paddling for hours, carrying your gear in the canoe, and setting up camp in wild places. If sleeping by a lake, cooking over a fire, and adapting to weather feels exciting rather than uncomfortable, this journey will suit you. ๐ Journey Overview This expedition follows a continuous water route through the lake and canal systems of southern Norway. We travel by canoe through the Telemark region, moving across wide lakes, narrow channels, and forested shorelines. The journey is nature led. Daily distance, camps, and rhythm are shaped by weather, water conditions, and the groupdynamic, creating a true expedition experience. Along the way, I share practical canoe travel skills, campcraft, environmental awareness, and guidance for moving safely and responsibly through remote lake systems. There is also space for presence, reflection, solo time, and genuine group connection. This is a reduced journey for people seeking stillness and challenge in the Nordic landscape.
๐งญ Guiding Philosophy I have spent many years traveling on multi day nature and adventure journeys, deliberately moving through remote and untamed landscapes. My approach is simple, grounded, and respectful toward the land, the group, and myself. For me, nature is far more than a destination. It is home. I guide with calm awareness, practical experience, and deep respect for natural processes. The focus is not on performance or extremes, but on moving attentively, living simply, and reconnecting with something essential that often gets lost in modern life.
๐ก Accommodation Details The journey is based primarily on wild camping along remote lakeshores and forested areas in the Telemark region. We sleep in tents and live closely connected to the water and surrounding landscape. Camps are chosen based on weather, water conditions, and group rhythm, following Norwayโs right to roam and low impact camping principles. At the beginning and end of the expedition, accommodation in simple guesthouses or hostels in Oslo and Lunde, providing space to arrive, prepare, and close the journey before departure.
