Cape Town International Airport
Around 10:30 a.m. you will be met by us at the airport after your self-booked Lufthansa flight (or other airline by arrangement). We will drive you to the booked 3 star hotel in Cape Town as part of a short orientation drive. In the hotel there is the possibility to freshen up before we start the first excursions in Cape Town.
3 full days are available for excursions in Cape Town. Set is, weather dependent, the ascent of Table Mountain and the full day drive to the Cape of Good Hope, with Simonstown and Hautbaii, of course with drive over Champmans Peak drive. The other day we spend with the city sightseeing bus in the region. Enjoy the impressions at perhaps the most beautiful "end of the world".
Via Hermanus we drive for 2 nights to Gaansbaii. On the way we visit an abalone farm. There we also have the opportunity to taste this sea snail - in Germany a very expensive delicacy, these abalones... In Gansbaii we will enjoy the romantic harbor area. We will spend the night in a beautifully sit...
Via the southernmost point of Africa, Cape Agulhas, we will drive via Franschoek Pass and Franschoek to Stellenbosch, the center of wine growing in the Cape. On one day we will explore old Stellenbosch on foot. We will taste some typical South African specialties and of course the great wine. The f...
Sabie River Bush Lodge
After the flight we take over our new rental van to drive in about 80 km to the Sabie River. There our lodge with half board with a beautiful pool on the viewing deck to Kruger Park is waiting for us.
Skukuza Rest Camp
We leave for the Kruger National Park early in the morning: We are looking for the Big 5. We will spend the night in the rest camp. For dinner we recommend the restaurant in the old train station. The next morning we leave early for our bush walk: From camp we drive in an open safari vehicle for a ...
Back at the camp we freshen up before there is the possibility of breakfast. Over different roads we drive through the southern part of the park to Crocodile Bridge, where we leave the Kruger Park in the late afternoon, hopefully provided with beautiful impressions. In Marloth Park or Komatiport we...
Satara Rest Camp
Either in Satara or in Olifants we will spend the next night. On the way we will cross the Sabie River and enter the middle part of the Kruger Park. In the late afternoon we will leave for a group safari: enjoy the sunset and the falling night with the nocturnal animals. You can end the evening at the "Cattle Baron" a restaurant in the camp, or comparable in Olifants.
Kruger National Park
Today we enjoy the last half day in Kruger Park before we leave the park through Orpen Gate. In a private game reserve we will spend the next two days. A total of 4 game drives with hopefully many "cats" are waiting for us. We will reach our camp in time for lunch. The also included bush dinner will be served after the sunset drive.
After our last morning gamedrive and breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to the "realm of the wild animals": we're off for a boat trip on the Blyde River Dam. Enjoy the perspective of the "Three Rondavals" from below and the second highest tuff waterfall in the world. If available, we will stay at a lodge on an island in the Blyde River. Maybe here we will see the "Finfoot", a very rare duck-like bird.
We spend the next 2 nights in Sabie, a picturesque mountain village high up in the mountains. Various waterfalls and viewpoints in the Blyde River Canyon, the largest forested canyon in the world, want to be explored. Here are just 2 highlights: the museum village of Pilgrims Rest, an old gold mining village, and the newest attraction: the lift into the George of Graskop: down into the pristine forest.
Via Long Tom Passe we drive to the probably oldest caves in the world, the Sudvala Caves. A short hike to the edge of the cave, past wild horses and surrounded by interesting rock formations will round off the day in good weather. Should the weather not cooperate, we will visit the Botanical Garden in Nespruit. There we get to know the flora of the "Lowfeld".
The last two nights of your dream vacation will be spent in a hotel in Johannesburg. We will explore the "City of Gold" by sightseeing bus. We will also visit the Transport Museum, where historic vehicles from the early days of Jozini, as Johannesburg is also called, are exhibited. A visit to Sowet...
