Trip Itinerary
1
Salvador
Day 1-4
First stop: Salvador de Bahia Welcome to Brasil! I booked three nights for us in a house on Airbnb very close to the main tourist points of the city. After arriving, we will be a relaxing day and have the opportunity to get to know each other better, talk about the next days, and rest. On the second day will be to know Pelourinho, elevator Lacerda and the lighthouse da barra. And, on the third day, will be doing a tour from "Bahia de todos os Santos". More details in the next stops.
2
Pelourinho
Day 4
On the second day, we will go to Pelourinho. It is an important place for the history of Salvador, where we will have more details during the tour. We will visit restaurants, bars, cultural centers, artistic attractions, museums and more.
3
Elevador Lacerda
Day 4
In the same day, we will visit the Elevador Lacerda, which is one of the main tourist attractions and a postcard of the city. From the top of its towers, there is a view of the Bahía de Todos-os-Santos , the Mercado Modelo and, in the background, the Forte de São Marcelo.
4
Farol da Barra
Day 4
The last stop for this day will be The Farol da Barra. It is much more than an obligatory stop, this fortification houses the Museu Náutico da Bahia. It is a good place to take photos and appreciate the sunset. Very close to there, there are bars with live music and a good atmosphere. That will be a good excuse to rest after the walk :)
5
Ilha dos Frades
Day 4
In the third day in Salvador, we will get to visit in a boat tour the "Bahia de todos os Santos" and have a nice day on the beaches of the Frades's island. It will be a full-day tour. When we will go there by boat.
6
Morro de São Paulo
Day 4-10
Welcome to Morro de São Paulo! Arriving, we will go to our accommodation. Universo Pol Bamboo Hostel is located within a Nature Reserve, 15 minutes' walk from the center of Morro de São Paulo, Bahia, Brazil. We will be living the unique experience of sleeping in the midst of nature and waking up to the sound of birdsong. You can find there: Delicious vegan breakfast Yoga classes Detox juices and mindful foods Weekly events take place, you will have the opportunity to connect with nature, music and art. In Morro de São Paulo there are no cars, everything is walking! The sunsets are perfect and full magic. During our 6 days here, we will get to know several beautiful places and our visit will be complete from beaches to waterfalls, natural pools, cultural events, gastronomy, outdoor activities such as zip lines, canoe rides, kayaking and much more ✨
7
Gamboa
Day 10
The clay beach is close to Morro de São Paulo. I like to do that walking tour (it usually takes about 30 to 40 minutes). I consider the tour 10/10. Arriving at Gamboa we will find the clay wall where we can take a bath (it is very good for the skin) and soon after we will stay at a bar where we will have a good meal and have a moment of leisure (there is stand up, kayak and games for us to spend a great day). To end the day we will take a canoe ride where we will watch an incredible sunset.
8
Cairu
Day 10
The trip back to the island consists of an all-day boat ride that stops at the main beaches of the island of Thinare and Boipeba, allowing us to get to know the local culture, history of the municipality, and its charms. Having 4 stops: Morere, Boipeba, Canasvieiras and Cairu.
9
Fonte do Ceu waterfall
Day 10
Fonte do ceu is one of the least known tours and one that is worth doing. A trek with beautiful views until you reach your destination and then enjoy a bath in ice water :) The tour will take us about 4 hours, then we will have the day off to rest and walk around the center.
