San bartolome lanzarote
Day 1-7
On the first day, we will actually meet at Lanzarote Airport, in the late afternoon for the car pick-up at the rental office! Then we will directly drive to our home for the week: a fantastic Villa in Lanzarote! Depending on the our we may start our first activity of the trip already, by visiting the Campesino Home Museum, a cultural museum created by the renowned artist and architect CĂ©sar Manrique as a tribute to the islandâs farmers. The museum showcases Lanzaroteâs traditional architecture, agriculture, craftsmanship, and gastronomy! If it wonât be possible because of someoneâs flight the activity will be for sure rescheduled for the coming days. For the evening, we'll decide whether to pick up some groceries and eat together at home, or book a nearby restaurant (this will apply to all the evenings ahead, so we can go with the group's mood!).âš

Jameos del Agua
Day 7
Weâll wake up early (but not too early đ€) and enjoy breakfast at home or at a cafĂ©, depending on the groupâs preference. Weâll then set off on our first expedition to explore the island! Specifically, weâll visit the following places: - Jameos del Agua: is one of Lanzaroteâs most iconic attractions, designed by CĂ©sar Manrique within a volcanic lava tube. It combines nature, art, and architecture, featuring an underground lake inhabited by unique blind albino crabs found only in this environment. - Cuevas de los Verdes: a spectacular volcanic cave formed by ancient lava flows from the VolcĂĄn de La Corona. Visitors can explore its impressive tunnels, chambers, and rock formations while discovering the islandâs volcanic origins. - Mirador del Rio: a panoramic viewpoint designed by CĂ©sar Manrique on the northern cliffs of Lanzarote. It offers breathtaking views of the nearby La Graciosa and the surrounding Atlantic Ocean. - Punta Mujeres: a charming coastal village in northern Lanzarote, known for its traditional whitewashed houses and natural sea pools. It offers a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful ocean views, making it an ideal spot to experience local island life.

Timanfaya National Park
Day 7
The morning will start with a trip to Timanfaya National Park, Lanzaroteâs most famous natural attraction, featuring a dramatic volcanic landscape shaped by eruptions in the 18th century. There we will explore its unique terrain and witness geothermal phenomena that highlight the islandâs volcanic activity (Please note that, due to current policies, we will not be able to visit the park on our own. For this reason, we will join a 40-minute bus tour and attend demonstrations of geothermal power, all led by a park guide.). Right after we will move to Charco de los Clicos, a striking green lagoon located beside a black volcanic beach on Lanzaroteâs west coast. Its vivid color, created by algae and minerals, contrasts beautifully with the surrounding volcanic landscape. Our next two, and final stops will be Salinas de Janubio (the largest salt-producing area in the Canary Islands,) & Los Charcones (a series of natural volcanic pools, known for their crystal-clear waters and rugged surroundings).

Las Grietas
Day 7
We will begin the day with a stunning hike art Las Grietas! This will be a short and fascinating hike through the canyons formed by lava flows on the slopes of Montaña Blanca in Lanzarote. The trail, just 1.8 km long with an elevation gain of only 42 meters, can easily be completed in about 30â60 minutes. After we will drive to Museo LagOmar: a unique architectural complex built into a volcanic quarry and surrounded by caves and lush gardens. Famous for its striking design and connection to actor Omar Sharif, it blends art, nature, and Lanzaroteâs volcanic landscape. Then we will move to Jardin de Cactus, a botanical garden designed by CĂ©sar Manrique, featuring over 1,000 species of cacti from around the world. Set within a former quarry, it is one of Lanzaroteâs most distinctive examples of the harmony between art and nature. A brief stop to Ciudad Estratificada Los roferos will follow. Here we will admire a volcanic landscape, characterized by layered rock formations created by successive lava flows and erosion. And, finally, we will visit Teguise, one of the oldest towns in Lanzarote and was once the islandâs capital. It is known for its historic architecture, cobbled streets, and lively Sunday market, which attracts visitors from all over the island.

Caldera de Los Cuervos
Day 7
The day will start with a visit to the CĂ©sar Manrique Foundation, which is the former home of CĂ©sar Manrique, built inside a series of volcanic lava bubbles. Today it is a museum dedicated to his life and work, showcasing his art and his vision of harmony between nature and architecture. Then we will venture on another easy but stunning hike at Caldera de Los Cuervos: an easy volcanic trekking, located in the Timanfaya region of Lanzarote. The trail circles a well-preserved crater, offering a close-up view of the islandâs volcanic landscape. Right after we will drive to Playa de Papagayo, one of Lanzaroteâs most famous beaches, located within a protected natural area in the south of the island. It is known for its golden sand, clear turquoise waters, and sheltered coves surrounded by volcanic cliffs, and to Playa de Janubio, famous for its black sand. Last stop of the day will be at Mirador de Punta Pechiguera: a scenic viewpoint located on the southern coast of Lanzarote. It offers wide views over the Atlantic Ocean, with dramatic volcanic landscapes and sunsets, and is close to the lighthouse of Punta Pechiguera.

Our last full day together will start with a bang: weâll dive right into the sea, ready for an amazing beginnerâs surfing lesson! In the afternoon, instead we will move to Haria, a picturesque village in northern Lanzarote, known as the âValley of a Thousand Palms.â Surrounded by volcanic mountains, it offers a lush contrast to the islandâs arid landscapes and is closely associated with CĂ©sar Manrique, who spent his final years here.
