All my life I have been fascinated by the Northern lights but never got a chance to see them! I also missed the snow the past couple of years in Austria over New Year and I would love to celebrate the start of the New Year together with a cool bunch of people! For accommodation, rented a house in Borg. I am looking for 7-8 people to join me. We will rent two cars - I am also looking for people who would like to drive as unfortunately driving is not one of my super skills! haha 🙂 The costs for the car will be shared equally as well of course. I am listed as the "TripLeader" and I will organize the accommodation but once we are there the idea is to just have a good time together :) To explain the trip costs: in the price of the trip only the accommodation is included, and a trip leader fee is included as well as the organization is quite a bit of work. Thank you Lisa.... trip to Paris was really nice, well organized according to the people's choices and very flexible. Had great fun met lovely people with all the food, bar hoppings and shopping. Would love to join her trip once more in the future.
Drumroll..... the first stop is Narvik! The plan is to fly to Narvik as it is one of the "bigger" cities in the North of Norway and has the best flight options. From there we will rent cars and drive to Borg together. I would suggest booking the flight a day earlier and staying one night in Narvik, then have breakfast there and then drive to Borg as it´ is a four-hour-long car ride. It is a long way to get there - but I am sure it is totally worth it! :)

I already found a cozy house in Borg in the Lofoten, it´s a large house with four bedrooms (rooms will be shared), in the middle of Lofoten.The Lofotr Viking Museum and grocery store are within walking distance of this cozy house. The house also has a whirlpool and access to a lake.

Images say more than a thousand words - and the landscape of the Lofoten just looks amazing. I (semi-officially) loved the kid's movie Frozen and it reminds me a little bit of it. Would love to explore the surrounding area, maybe do a short hike or even a boat ride, and enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of this untouched place. And have some hot drinks later back at the cozy house :)

Dog sledding! Wuhuuu! :)) This is also an optional activity that we could book as a group. There are different tours offered, this is just one option. Costs are between 130 - 191 Euros: It depends on the duration and whether it is during the dark with seeing the lights of the Aurora Borealis or during the day.

If we get cold - it is probably more like a "when" we get cold - we can book the Sauna at Hov Horse Farm. It is a 34minute car ride away from Borg and has an amazing view of the sea. The farm also offers hikes and horse riding lessons and also has a restaurant.
