Day 9-10
Today’s the big one! We’ll be waking up early for a full-day adventure to Machu Picchu, one of the most iconic sites in the world. To save our energy for the main event, we’re taking the easy and scenic route by train from Cusco. It’s comfortable, straightforward, and hands-down the most relaxing way to reach the ruins. The ride takes around 3 hours. We’ll arrive in the town of Aguas Calientes, which sits just below Machu Picchu. From there, it’s a short bus ride up the mountain to the entrance of the ancient Inca city. Once we’re at the top, we’ll take our time exploring the site with a guided tour and plenty of moments to just take it all in—this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime kind of place. Note: Train tickets are not included in the trip price. There are several options to choose from—like the Vistadome, 360°, Expedition, or Voyager—each offering different levels of comfort and views. I will create a Whatssapp group and we will all book the same train!
