Sigiriya
Day 3-6
Sigiriya is a giant rock on which the ruins of a historic fortress are perched. The name is derived from "Singha Giri", which means "Lion Rock". Since 1982 Sigiriya is a World Heritage Site.

Another world heritage site on our route. The associated small town still has about 13,000 inhabitants today. There is a lot to discover here. (Day trip from Sigurya)
