For my next trip I'm going to Jordan, a country where modernity and tradition merge in a fascinating way. From ancient sites to Bedouin camps in the desert to modern metropolises, there is everything to discover on this trip. On our trip we will not only visit tourist destinations, but also take time to get to know the country and its people. Among other things, we will go from the capital Amman to the ruined city of Petra, to floating on the Dead Sea and off into the desert. My knowledge of Arabic should help us a lot on this trip....

The accommodation will be according to the participant's wishes. From Airbnb to luxury hotel I am available for everything.

Trip Itinerary
1

Amman

Day 1-3
Amman is not only interesting as the capital of Jordan, but has an exciting history that can be traced back to biblical times. After arriving here on the first day, the second day will be spent sightseeing in Amman and visiting the bazaar in Al Balad.
2

Madaba

Day 3-4
The settlement was founded in the first century by the Moabites and was abandoned and repopulated in the meantime. It is known for its traditional way of life and archaeologically significant mosaic finds. Madaba also has the lowest prices for souvenirs in all of Jordan, so part of the day is free for shopping. There is also the possibility to drive to the mountain Nebo, from which you have a super view over the entire Jordan Valley. Here, by the way, Moses is also said to have ascended and died.
3

Kerak

Day 4-5
In Kerak we will visit the Crusader Castle, which had a great commercial importance especially at the time of 1100 AD. In Karak we will also get to know the Jordanian cuisine.
4

Wadi Musa

Day 5-7
The ruined site of Petra was the capital of the Nabataean Empire in ancient times. Today it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its facades carved directly into the rock. The place is also very interesting from the point of view of Bible history, because here Moses is said to have once struck on the rock, from which water gushed out on it.
5

Shakaria

Day 7-8
Wadi Rum is largest wadi in Jordan and has not only sand to offer. Even today many Bedouins live there. If you wish, we will spend the night in a desert camp and get very close to the desert life. In addition, there is also the possibility to take a camel ride through the desert or to drive down the dunes in an off-road vehicle.
6

Swemeh

Day 8-9
The Dead Sea is fed by the Jordan River and has a very high salt content. It is not only beautiful for bathing itself, but is also very good for the skin! Swimming skills are not necessary here, as the extremely salty water will automatically keep you up and it is impossible to sink.
7

Jerash

Day 9-10
In Jerash we will turn to the old part of the city and hopefully attend a tratraditional horse race, which still takes place here in Roman style.
8

Amman

Day 10-11
The last day in Amman will end in a relaxed atmosphere and then it is time to say goodbye to the country and its people.
