Parc de la tête d’Or or the Park of the Golden Head - Its area is 117 hectares (290 acres). It is kind of an unusual zoo, as animals do not live in cages and confined spaces as you would see in other zoos, but on large areas of land in freedom. You can see about 130 different species of animals, some of which are endangered. Visit the Old Town, Place Bellecour, place des Terreaux - After you have explored the Park of the Golden Head, you go towards the Old Town. It would take you a walk of 30 minutes and on the way, you can admire the impressive architecture of Lyon Iconic Traboules - The Traboules of Lyon are secret passageways that helped people escape the Gestapo. Visit the Presqu’ile - The Presqu’ile is the business district of Lyon, full of luxury stores. You will be impressed by the amazing architecture of these buildings. Here you will also see the Fountain Bartholdi, designed by the same sculptor who designed the Statue of Liberty. The Presqu’ile is just near the Old Town, at only 10 minutes walking distance.
4

Paris

Day 4-6
Champs-Élysées - Your best plan would be to start with the Triumphal Arch and walk up to its viewing area for great sights down the Champs-Élysées – a lovely green space with ornate fountains, where you can have a typical Parisian picnic lunch. Then there is the Grand Palais – a magnificent Beaux-Arts structure both inside and out, playing host to many fantastic shows and exhibitions throughout the year. Ending the first stretch, Place de la Concorde is home of the Petit Palais and the Obelisk – one of a pair from Luxor in Egypt! Visiting the best museum in the Louvre Museum is an option as well. Evening at the Eiffel Tower with Seine River Boat Tour - For the last night of your 2 days in Paris, head to the Eiffel Tower for a “grand finale” in the City of Lights! Climb up to the Eiffel Tower’s summit to watch the sunset over Paris. Designed by the engineer Gustave Eiffel, the Eiffel Tower is always impressive but it is even more incredible to see at night when the golden floodlights come on. When the Tour Eiffel is lit up it will sparkle for the first five minutes of every hour so check your watch not to miss the next one! End your day with a Seine night boat tour – and perhaps a glass of champagne – and admire the historical monuments dotted along the route: The Eiffel Tower, the Musée d’Orsay, the Conciergerie, … and back to Notre Dame, where everything started. Departure for Brussels
