These geothermal features are a result of the volcanic activity in the region, as Mývatn sits within the Krafla volcanic system.

Day 7. RELAXING DAY AT THE HOT SPRINGS (My photo from last year! 📸😄) Camp 4 - Mavatn Natural Hot Spring - Dimmuborgir - Skútustaðagígar - Camp 4. Distance 25 km, drive time 35 min 😊 Hot Bath - 3-4 hours. Guess what? Today is our well-deserved day off, so no need to set the alarm clock! It's time to unwind and take things at a leisurely pace. 🕰️ We have a relatively shorter trip planned, where we'll explore the stunning natural wonders of the Myvatn area. And wait for it...
