The capital of Latvia. We will start from there on Wednesday, and after having gathered, we will start touring the city. From the famous Ratslaukums to the Dome Laukums Cathedral, we will of course pass by the parks of the city and discover all of the hidden parts of Riga through a little tour. On our way, we will also go to the Ethnographic Open Air Museum of Latvia, to discover how the Balts used to live! We will also visit the Museum of Occupation of Latvia, to learn more about how it was during the Nazi and Soviet domination of the country.
2
Sigulda
Day 3-4
After arriving in Sigulda, we will visit both castles there, the old and the new one. To reach both of them, there will be a little walk, but we have a beautiful view on all of the valley. It is the entrance of the national park of Gauja, created by the river of the same name. On our way, we will also be able to see the Gutman Cave, very famous in the region, and hike around the region.

Cēsis
Day 4-5
We will then go on to Cesis, a small village hidden in the national park, in order to visit the village, but also the castle there. It is a beautiful little village in the middle of nowhere, with a little lake that is absolutely to die for!

Rundāle Palace Museum
Day 6-7
Considered by most as the Versailles of Latvia, the castle is one of the two most important baroque palaces of the region. It is also used for the accommodation of notable guests, such as the leaders of foreign nations. The palace and the surrounding gardens are now a museum.
6
Hill of Crosses
Day 7-8
Hill of Crosses is a site of pilgrimage about 12 km north of the city of Šiauliai, in northern Lithuania. The precise origin of the practice of leaving crosses on the hill is uncertain, but it is believed that the first crosses were placed on the former Jurgaičiai or Domantai hill fort after the 1831 Uprising. Over the generations, not only crosses and crucifixes, but statues of the Virgin Mary, carvings of Lithuanian patriots, and thousands of tiny effigies and rosaries have been brought here by Catholic pilgrims. The exact number of crosses is unknown
7
Kaunas
Day 8-10
We will finish our trip to Kaunas to visit the most important Port of the Baltic Countries, but also the second most important city of Lithuania. I will have to let you go because there is a basketball event that I must attend, but you are free to stay for the weekend, or even go as far as Vilnius to discover the Capital of Lithuania!
