Details about this trip
from Aveiro · Coimbra · Batalha · to Nazaré Would you like to discover hidden gems of Portugal on your way from Porto to Lisbon? Central Portugal is highly underrated and undiscovered, so do not miss out, and come explore this part of Portugal with me! I will take you from cute colourful town, called the Venice of Portugal, to magical University town Coimbra, through sacred pilgramage sites to famous coastal village with the biggest waves in Europe, Nazaré. This journey is about exploration — outer landscapes and inner shifts. Less urgency. More aliveness. Less scrolling. More sensing. What We’ll Experience Together Hidden Corners & Secret Spots We wander through medieval alleys, forest paths, dramatic coastlines, and riverside trails. We visit places that feel undiscovered — quiet chapels, panoramic viewpoints, tucked-away beaches, and cafés with stories. Sacred & Wild Energy in Aveiro you can take a boat ride through canal, and explore colourful streets. In Coimbra, we soak in history and magical athmosphere as we wander near the iconic University of Coimbra. In Tomar, we step into the mystical atmosphere of the Templars at the magnificent Convent of Christ. In Nazaré, we breathe in Atlantic air along cliffs that remind us how powerful and untamed we are. Movement & Rituals Morning forest walks. Optional cold dips in the pool, ocean or river. Evening meals filled with reflection, laughter, and connection.

Hey, I’m Gabi, open minded, curious human and traveller.. I’m an experienced trip leader, adventure lover, and big believer in the magic of shared experiences. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding incredible trips in Madeira —whether it’s hiking trips, catching waves, or simply soaking in the beauty of nature with amazing people. For me, travel is about so much more than seeing new places—it’s about connecting, growing, and having fun along the way. I’m all about creating spaces where people feel inspired, supported, and free to be themselves. Right now I settled in a quiet village near Coimbra.

We will be sharing a beautiful country house with outdoor kitchen and a pool. You will have your own private room, with shared indoor areas and plenty of outdoor space to rest, walk, and breathe. There is space to be outside. A swimming pool for slow afternoons. Quiet corners to sit, journal, or simply do nothing.

Alvorge

Day 2
🌿 Alvorge – Our Countryside Home Nestled near the small village of Alvorge, our house sits surrounded by rolling hills, olive trees, and forest edges. This will be our base — peaceful, spacious, and grounding. It is on the route of the sacred pilgramge to Santiago de Compostela, so if you are interested in the pilgramge, maybe this is also a great stopover for you!

Day 2-3
A place which a true traveler, or fan of Harry Potter, cannot miss? Definitely the magnificent University of Coimbra, one of the oldest universities in Europe, which allegedly became an inspiration for J.K.Rowling in creating the Harry Potter universe. Walking through its grand courtyards and historic spaces offers a beautiful experience — a reflection on knowledge, legacy, and the journeys students have walked over the history.

Tomar

Day 4-5
The day in Tomar is shaped by history, stone, and quiet symbolism. Walking through the Convent of Christ and the old town, we take time to notice carved details, courtyards, light, and the way this place has held human thought, craft, and mystery over centuries. There is space to wander, pause for lunch or coffee, and feel the atmosphere of a town. Tomar is a day of depth — grounding, symbolic, and quietly powerful. Later we are returning home for a slower evening together.

Known for its legendary Atlantic waves and fishing traditions, Nazaré carries a raw, untamed beauty. From the cliffs of Sítio da Nazaré, we’ll take in vast ocean views — wind in our hair, salt on our skin. Take a quick funicular ride to the top of the village settled on the cliff. Sit and enjoy picnic while watching the waves roll in. Nazaré is movement. Power. Laughter. A reminder of how alive we are. The final destination is here, or you can choose to be dropped off in Coimbra. This is very flexible and I am very happy to accommodate your drop off wishes.
