Coworking trip

Hello together! A few years ago I have already lived half a year in Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) and dream since then to return there again for a "Workcation". I want to fulfill this dream and would like to take you with me! I have thought about the absolute highlights of this beautiful island to make sure that we can see all of them besides our work. Of course you don't have to come along on all the trips or you can come along if you don't have to work. We will have a rental car for one week and will have to coordinate with each other. I am sure we will have an unforgettable time with summer temperatures to the otherwise so dreary January time! Location & Accommodation: Regarding the perfect location, I thought about it for a long time. I love, Las Palmas - is it compared to the south not at all touristy, there are many cool bars, cafes and restaurants. With the Las Canteras beach, the city also has a really nice beach. However, it is always 2-3 degrees colder in Las Palmas than in the south and at this time of year that can make the difference whether you can still jump into the sea or not. Therefore, the trip starts in the south of the island in Pasito Blanco near Maspalomas. Here we will live in a cottage with access to a pool and on the beach. After 5 nights we move again to Las Palmas for the last weekend. Here we occupy an apartment with panoramic views over the old town and the harbor. in both accommodations we have 3 bedrooms + living room / kitchen / dining area. Car: I booked a car for a week incl. fully comprehensive insurance without deductible. Activities: - 4.5 hour catamaran tour incl. food, drinks, snorkeling gear, SUP, kayak. - Walk through the dunes at Maspalomas - Walk through the "little Venice" of Gran Canaria "Puerto de Mógan - Hike at Roque Nublo, for the sunset at Pico de las Nieves - Hike to the most beautiful dream beach of the island "Guigui - Tapas Night in Las Palmas - Natural pools in Agaete - And many more optional possibilities: Surf course, rum distillery in Arucas, Bandama Nature Park (hiking in the volcano crater), more secluded beaches, kayaking, snorkeling, etc. Included in the price: - Accommodation in double room, single room subject to availability + 200€. - car incl. fully comprehensive insurance without excess for one week excl. fuel costs - twice working in a coworking space (once Nomads + once Repeople in Agaete) - 4,5-hour trip on a catamaran incl. snacks, local drinks and the possibility to jump into the sea (snorkel, kayak, SUP Excluded: - Gasoline costs - food costs (we try to cook as often as possible and share the costs among the travelers) - other excursions - journey I am really looking forward to meeting you!

Trip Itinerary
1

Pasito Blanco

Day 1-2
Since we will probably all arrive at different times, the first day will be used to explore the area, possibly jump into the sea for the first time or take a walk through the sand dunes. It would be great if the early arrivals would help me with the shopping for the weekend (costs we share via an app by all fellow travelers, as well as gas costs, parking fees, etc.). While some are still unpacking the suitcases, the others already take care of the common dinner (eg barbecue ☀️). Afterwards we can go to a bar or have a nice evening.
2

Puerto de Mogán

Day 2-3
What would a trip to an island be without a boat trip!? ;-) After a joint breakfast, we therefore start at 10:30 am, with the catamaran on a 4.5 hour trip incl. local drinks, snacks and a jump into the cool water (incl. snorkeling equipment, SUP, kayak). Afterwards we can have a look at Puertó de Mogan (also known as "Little Venice"). Either we go to eat there or we cook again by ourselves in the accommodation. It's Saturday night, maybe we still feel like going out or we recover for our hike the next day.
3

Roque Nublo

Day 3-4
Today we do an absolute must-see in Gran Canaria: a walk / hike at Roque Nublo - the landmark of the island! We watch the sunset at Pico de las Nieves, the highest point of the island (with a view of the Teide, Roque Nublo, Roque Bentayga). Afterwards we return to the accommodation.
4

Pasito Blanco

Day 4-5
Monday and Tuesday we spend at the accommodation in the home office. In the evening and during lunch break we go to the beach, to the pool, do a surf course (optional), watch the sunset at the dunes, go shopping, eat out, to a bar etc.. Of course we also have a car and can go somewhere in the evening as the mood takes us.
5

Las Canteras Beach

Day 5-6
The day starts early at sunrise (we want to get off work sooner rather than later 😉 ). Today we spend the day at a coworking on Las Canteras beach. Here we work with many like-minded digital nomads! We spend the breaks with a jump into the sea! ;-) Afterwards (5-6pm) we move to our accommodation in the old town with panoramic views over the city and the sea!
6

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Day 6-7
We are in Las Palmas for one more day for the home office. We can take a free sightseeing tour of the city during our lunch break or we can go to Las Canteras! Here we can also go surfing, jogging or stroll along the promenade, shop in the large shopping center, go to the movies, one of the many cafes or restaurants, buy the best fruits in the market hall or take a walk through the Santa Catalina Park or the Isleta! Today is Thursday - which means it's Tapas Night in Vegueta (the old town of Las Palmas). We can walk there! It's totally busy on the streets and the various restaurants and bars are selling cheap tapas, sangria and tinto de verano. Before the Tapas Night can be a little stroll through the old town if desired or join an official guided tour for a few extra euros! If we work from Las Palmas, we can (if we can get off work early or during our lunch break) take a little walk at the volcanic crater La Bandema!
7

Agaete

Day 7-8
Today is Friday and we leave super early again and work in a coworking in Agaete - with sea view! In the lunch break and after work we look at the natural pools and sunbathe / swim a little. Also the village itself looks nice with the white houses. In the evening we still go super tasty fish eat together and drive back to the accommodation. We still prepare a small picnic for the next day and go to bed early, because the next day awaits us a big day!
8

Playa de Güigüí

Day 8-9
We leave early and drive to the start of the hike to Playa Guigui! For many it is the most beautiful beach on the island, which is also partly protected. We make another stop at the fantastic viewpoint Mirador del Balcón. Arrived at the starting point, a hike of 5 hours (there and back) awaits us. The beach actually consists of two small beaches. We arrive at the bay El Puerto and have to follow the tides to get to the Güigüi beach. There a dreamlike and hopefully almost lonely beach awaits us! In the evening we return to the accommodation. We are certainly tired and go to the conclusion of this great trip again in one of my favorite restaurants in Las Palmas eat (at your own expense!). When we have regained our strength, we can go out to celebrate again at the end or we rest for the departure day.
9

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

Day 9-10
Sunday is departure day! We leave the accommodation in the morning, return the car and everyone probably goes back to the airport at different times. There is a bus to the airport. After an absolutely great week, it's time to say goodbye. ☹️ But since we didn't have to take any vacation for this trip - we still have enough vacation days left for more trips this year!
