Hi, I'm Vero, In the past couple of years, I've spent 4-5 months on the Amalfi Coast each year. But my absolute favourite place? Capri! I love escaping to this island whenever I can. A short day trip can feel crowded and wouldn’t let you see Capri in its full glory. But I can assure you that staying overnight on the island is pure bliss. And that’s exactly what we’ll do on this trip. We’ll spend 3 nights on the island at a cozy 3-star hotel. The accommodation is in shared twin rooms. But if you prefer more privacy, a private room is available for an extra fee. While day trippers rush through, you’ll have the luxury of 4 days to see the real Capri. One of the experiences most day trippers miss is the nightlife of the Piazzetta (Capri's central square). We'll take evening walks and see the sunset from Capri’s best viewpoints. I know Capri can be expensive, but don’t worry. That’s why I’ve arranged dinners for 2 nights at a local restaurant. And we also have breakfast at our hotel each morning. On the last night, you can splurge at any restaurant you like in Capri on your own, or we can go to a pizzeria together. There are also some budget-friendly options. I’ve included as much as I can in the trip price: ferry tickets, cab rides, entrance tickets...etc. And of course, a must-do boat trip around the island. All you’ll need to bring is some extra for souvenirs and lunchtime snacks.
I’ve been to Capri many times, and the longest I’ve stayed was a full week. I speak fluent Italian. I’ve visited every spot in this itinerary myself, so I know exactly where to take you for the best experience. I’ve planned this trip in a way that we can see and do a lot, but we’ll also have free time to relax on the beaches. Plus, you’ll love my favorite activity: A boat trip around Capri and snorkeling!
We’ll stay in a comfortable 3-star hotel in the center of Anacapri, with breakfast included. Accommodation is in shared twin rooms. The rooms have AC, and all rooms have a private bathroom. Restaurants and shops are just a short walk away. If you'd prefer a private room, just let me know and I can arrange that for you (for an extra charge). Any questions about the trip? You can let me know in the Q&A section!

Trip Itinerary
1
Metropolitan City of Naples
Day 1
The closest airport to Capri is in Naples Central Station. You can easily catch a shuttle bus from the airport that takes you directly to the ferry port (I’ll send you all the details on where to catch the shuttle if you need). Your trip price includes the ferry ticket from Naples to Capri. If you’re coming from other places like Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast, or Salerno, just let me know! I can book a ferry ticket for you from any of the following ports: Salerno, Amalfi, Positano, Minori, Vietri, Maiori, or Sorrento. Keep in mind that ferries are more frequent from Naples. I’ll send your online ferry tickets a few days before, so you can head straight to the ship. Once you arrive in Capri, I’ll be there to meet you at the main harbour (Marina Grande).
2
Marina Grande
Day 1
Once you arrive at Marina Grande, I’ll be waiting for you at the port. We can either relax with a coffee or drink right there, or head straight to our hotel to unpack. Your trip price includes a cab ride from Marina Grande to our hotel in Anacapri. Cabs in Capri are a lot of fun! As you’ll see, they’re all open-top Mercedes, and the ride is along a winding road with panoramic views of the island. I promise, this ride itself will instantly put you in an island state of mind!
3
Anacapri
Day 1-2
Our accommodation is in Anacapri, one of the two villages on the island of Capri. Anacapri has a more laid-back vibe and is far less crowded than Capri town. This is where the chairlift to the Mount Solaro starts. Anacapri also has plenty of pedestrian streets and great little shops. It’s a lovely place to be. There are lots of bars, ice cream shops, and restaurants.
4
Capri
Day 2
On the first night, we’ll take an evening walk in the center of Capri. It’s just a short 20-minute bus or cab ride from Anacapri. We’ll visit the Augustus Gardens and enjoy the sunset with a view of the Faraglioni rocks. It’s also one of the best viewpoints to see the hairpin turns of Via Krupp. We can sit at a bar in the Piazzetta for some people watching. If you want, we can stay longer to enjoy the nightlife, as there are also clubs in the area. We’ll start our first full day on the island with the best activity: a boat tour around the island. We’ll stop for a swim or two. Snorkeling gear will be provided. On the next day, we’ll visit the Blue Grotto from the shore (yes, it’s possible!) because I don’t want to waste precious boat tour time waiting in line. But instead, we’ll fully enjoy the boat tour, and there are also other grottos, like the Green Grotto, that we can visit if the sea is calm. After the boat trip, if we still have energy, we can take the funicular up to Capri and even go for a longer walk to visit Villa Lysis or Villa Jovis.
5
Anacapri
Day 2-3
We’ll have dinner at a local restaurant. If you have any dietary requirements, let me know, as most Italian restaurants are very accommodating with food allergies and intolerances. The dinner will be menu-based, so it's important you let me know beforehand.
6
Blue Grotto
Day 3
On our second day, we’ll visit the Blue Grotto. We’ll take a short bus or cab ride to the entrance. From there, you can take a small rowboat that will bring you inside the grotto. The entrance fee is not included in the trip (approx. 18 euros per person) And the actual time you will stay inside the Blue Grotto is around 5 minutes. We may need to wait in line, but from what I’ve seen, it’s usually quicker from the shore than from the sea. If you prefer not to visit the grotto, there’s a free beach nearby where we can swim. Or walk along the cliffs to one of Capri's forts. There’s also a bar where you can watch the little rowboats entering and exiting the Blue Grotto.
7
Mount Solaro Chair Lift (upper station)
Day 3
In the afternoon, we’ll take the chairlift from Anacapri to Mount Solaro, the highest peak on Capri. From the top, you can enjoy views of almost the entire island. There’s also a bar and restaurant at the top. I’ve included the chairlift ticket in your trip price. We’ll take the chairlift up together, enjoy some time at the top, and then walk back to Anacapri. The walk is a short 30-40 minutes, easy and scenic, with great views. If you prefer, you can skip the walk and take the chairlift back down. The chairlift is one of Capri’s top attractions, and it’s really fun. But if you have vertigo or feel uncomfortable, that’s fine too. I’m more than happy to walk up with you and, as the chairlift price is already covered, I’ll treat you to an ice cream at the top!
8
Anacapri
Day 3-4
Together, we’ll visit one of the most beautiful villas in Anacapri, Villa San Michele. This villa was once the residence of Swedish doctor Axel Munthe, who donated it to the Swedish state. Today, it’s a museum, filled with fantastic art pieces he collected throughout his life. The most famous are the two sphinxes (one of Etruscan origin and one Egyptian). We’ll explore the villa’s rooms, kitchen, and the stunning garden. The museum entry fee is included in your trip price. This is one of my favorite places to see in Capri.
9
Via del Faro
Day 4
On the day of departure, you can take a cab to Marina Grande and catch a ferry back to Naples or Sorrento. Your transfer and ferry ticket are included. If you have more time to stay, I can help with luggage storage at the hotel or the harbor. You can then go to the beach club near the lighthouse or enjoy the free beach section there. It's one of the best spots to swim in Capri!
10
Marina Grande
Day 4
There are also other beaches you can visit before your departure. Just near the ferry port, there’s a great beach too. Or you can go to Marina di Piccola, though it can be a bit crowded there. The ferry ride to Naples takes around 40 to 50 minutes. If you wish to go to Sorrento, the ferry takes about 20 minutes
11
Naples
Day 4
From Naples harbour, you can take the shuttle bus to the airport or central sation. I recommend not scheduling international or intercontinental flights on the same day. Complete cancellations of ferries is unlikely in May, but delays can happen. The Capri-Naples route very rarely gets completely canceled, though. It's best to stay a night or two in Naples or Sorrento. Happy to help arrange this for you if you need help with it!
